This place doesn't deserve as many five star reviews as it has. I was expecting to get much better Mexican food in San Diego and can't recommend what I ate here. The fish taco was dry and tough, the tostada bowl was too sloppy and the carne asada fries were very mediocre. If it's any solace the service was very friendly and the food came out quickly, even if we didn't enjoy it much.

Came by last minute bite after attending a service at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery and owner took the liberty of rearranging tables to fit a party of 14. Everyone said food was phenomenal and personally had the carne asada torta which was immaculate and tasted very authentic. Owner then treated us to dessert which was spectacular. Worth every penny. 10/10 would recommend from the service to the food itself.

While I was in the area, I found this place with a high rating. At first, I wasn't sure why it was rated so well, but after trying it, I understood. The staff was really nice when I made a mistake with my order. I'm pescatarian, but accidentally ordered a burrito with meat. They quickly fixed it for me and made a new one with shrimp instead. The burrito was tasty and the price was fair. I'm happy with the service and how they handled my mistake. They were able to substitute fish for meat based on my dietary restrictions.
