Had the fish & chips and blackened mahi mahi tonight. Happy with the cod. The fish wasn't caked with batter which was nice. Fries were alright. The mahi was also yummy. It would have been nice to have the option to order the oysters online.

Simple and tasty. they offer both grilled and fried varieties of fish. They also offer a number of types of fish. The place is clean, even though it's just a counter joint. They also have beers and wine. If you're looking for a nice simple meal, it's a good spot.

Was hoping we found a great place for fish and chips. Ordered the halibut fish and chips and ceviche. Unfortunately the fish and chips were mushy and bland. Had high hopes, they looked so good. The ceviche was okay. It was busy but the food came out fast after waiting to place our order. I liked the casual atmosphere.

Visited this place last month for the first time and The food was delicious!! Got the shop shrimp and it's the best shrimp I've ever had ! However the service was not as good as the food, the lady at the front register didn't say a single word while my partner and I placed our order with her. Maybe she was having a bad day but I found it very unwelcoming that not a single hello was said. There was a line that moved fast and I could hear her having conversation with those who ordered before us however when it was our turn to order she looked irritated and didn't say anything to us. We felt slightly discriminated since we looked around and were the only people in there with brown skin and dark hair . None the less the food was good, service could be much better .

Nice place for an upscale fish taco and sides. A taco and rings or a salad is a meal for me, and there are quite a few variations - blackened, lemon butter, etc. Service has always been fast at around 7:00 in the evening. A good casual spot.

Point Loma Fish Shop is a great spot for seafood and drinks with indoor and out door dining with plenty of seating available. Thursday night is $1.25 oysters a pretty tasty starter.

Upon arrival I was pleased to find parking; this part of town is always tough. We walked up to the front counter and ordered Fish & Chips, Shrimp & Chips, 2 dozen mixed oyster varieties, Calamari, and some drinks. The girl at the counter was very courteous and knowledgeable. We ordered then went and sat down. The place was nicely decorated and clean. I also used the restroom, which was clean as well. Service was great, the food was great, and my experience there was great! No complaints here. Thank you Fish Shop for a job well done!

IF YOU LIKE DRY FISH... then this is the place for you. Halibut should be tender and moist, but the fish in my sandwich was as overdone and dry as sawdust. Barely edible. But I didn't know that until I got home, or I would have asked them to replace it. Pretty outrageous at their prices. Nice people, but that isn't enough to get me to go back.
Came back again with my family and I decided to try the salmon salad. Let me tell you it's fantastic!! My kids both got the chicken tenders with fries and they love it. My wife got two tacos with sea bass and enjoyed it. This won't be the last time I come here. I can say I'm a regular haha.

When it first opened it was great and the ownership group clearly focused a lot of attention on this location. We stopped in weekly with the kids. In the last year the food quality and attention to detail has deteriorated. It's still busy because there are so few options in Point Loma and I love that they invested in the neighborhood, cause we sorely need more dining options, but sadly the food here is not as good as their other locations.
