I ordered donuts from Lucky Donut House on April 4, 2024. I have ordered them before, and usually, they are very good. But this time, I was delivered donuts that were crispy, black, and clearly burnt. (I used Uber Eats delivery). When my order arrived, my apple fritters looked terrible and one bite confirmed that they were truly burnt. I was unhappy; my tab was $43.00, so I called the store. The man who answered (I take it the owner) said that they were closed but that he would take care of it the next day by calling to confirm the order with UBER and to arrange for me to have my order replaced. The next day when the store opened, I called and called and never got anyone to answer at the store. I left a message for someone to call me back, but no one ever called. Terrible service. They knew they were burnt when they sent them to me, then refused to make it better. Beware, especially if you're ordering through DoorDash or Uber Eats.

The people who own this shop are psychopaths. They screamed at me for parking near their shop because they believed I was going to a yoga class at yoga box - which wasn’t even true. I did not attend a yoga class. I only said hi to my friend for less than 2 minutes inside the studio and then returned to my car. I told them I would buy a donut and that did nothing. The woman continued screaming at me and ran into the studio screaming and causing a scene.I got back in my car to leave and was doing a couple things on my phone and trying to calm down after that crazy interaction.Mind you this was a 30 minute parking spot with no official designation to their specific shop. At this point I had only been in the spot for less than 10 minutes. The woman and an older man come back out and start screaming at me again? I locked my door for safety and the man PUNCHED my car window, screaming and yelling in Spanish and running around my car. At this point I’m terrified and I have no idea what to do.I did nothing wrong I’m literally just sitting here in my car. They made me feel super unsafe and their behavior was something I’ve never seen before in my life. Also the parking lot isn’t even full so I really don’t understand why they are so worked up.It was the most horrible inexcusable treatment I’ve ever received from anyone.I will never ever buy a donut from this shop.

The older man that was working overcharged me and refused to cancel the order or refund my card. This was the first time I went there and I won’t be going back. That guy is a thief.

Great donuts and breakfast sandwiches. If he was out of a type of donut he made it fresh. Egg breakfast sandwich was also made fresh when ordered.

Classic all donut shop where everyone knows your name. Cannot recommend enough! Maple bar is my favorite.

Today we went to Lucky Donuts House and got unlucky. We bought 6 donuts and 12 donuts holes - unfortunately, the donuts were soggy and the plain donate tasted a bit like apple. The apple taste was not bad but just not what we expected. We will go back to our usual donut place ... On top of that, the owners seemed rather unfriendly when we realized that we were one item short after we closed the transaction. Overall, we will not go back.

I love lucky donuts!! Fresh made everyday. Mom & pop owned, bagle breakfast sandwiches & fresh coffee available also, opens very early! Definitely a great local donut shop!

The donuts are sooo oily! We tried several different kinds and all three of us agreed they were inedible.

I must say, I'm genuinely surprised that this place didn't have a lengthy line stretching for miles outside. Their fritters and ham/cheese croissants are absolutely exquisite. And let's not forget the awesome apple pie burrito they offer. This place is truly a hidden gem, especially if you find yourself in this part of San Diego in the morning.
