still here at the moment. this place is a cozy, hole in the wall establishment. the smash burger they have here is intoxicating all on it's own, it literally melts in your mouth. I added some fries on the side and my drink of choice was the natural red wine. I paired these fantastic options with the outdoor seating that is located in the back. I chose this place because it's within walking distance of where I live. I'm glad it's nearby, because I'll be coming back again. It's my first time here by the way. 5 out of 5 ! Also, let me add that the music playlist they have in rotation is curated perfectly well. Good vibes to say the least.

Essentially a dive bar but highly refurbished, better lighting, and super spacious. Tuesday is burger night which means you can get a burger and any beer for just $10! I got a double and added fries which amounted to $15 which is still a steal in this day and age, especially in San Diego. Burgers are fantastic and on the same level as The Friendly's (if you know, you know)

Great food and good vibes, also an excellent beer and wine selection (we can't get enough of the IPA out of Tijuana, La Lupalosa). Ownership did a great job cleaning the place up and still have the pool tables. Recommend stopping by if you're in college area!

A real comfortable place, with a pretty good selection of beers. The high quality bread and butter was appreciated, also.

We came here for our ever rare date night. We chose to sit at a booth because we had a couple art projects we needed to work on (leading into Christmas.) and needed the space. Im sure that was an odd sight from the typical bar goers but what can I say, we are somewhat of an eclectic pair. We never once felt unwelcoming or silly for just wanting to sit and create. The owner Will, and the bartender on shift (sweet gal with dark hair) actually both came up and showed genuine interest in what we were creating, and good conversation was had. My husband got a beer off tap and I got a classic bottled coke (six months pregnant over here). We shared a delicious burger and shoestring fries, cooked to perfection. Thanks for a stellar time!

Great menu, good beer and wine selection. Always playing great music (80s!). They are also dog-friendly and have fun trivia nights too, where you can stay seated at the bar and simply participate via your phone. (My husband and I won a free pour each) Cheeseburger and fries are a great order and the staff has been super friendly.

My friend and I visited this spot since it’s a 15 minute walk from my house. The prices are solid and the beer selection is great too. The bartenders are attentive. I’ll definitely come back to eat a burger or a sandwich!

Double smash burger and fries were great. Juicy, cheesy, perfect ratio of bun, meat, and cheese with thin crispy fries on the side. Awesome service from Greg. New owner turned this ugly dog into a spot with nice ambience. Oh yeah, nice selection of beers too. Looking forward to trying the steak sandwich next time. Will definitely be back to play some free pool and drink some good beers.

This is my favorite bar and grille in San Diego. They have amazing food (check for availability), solid beer on tap, tv's galore and free pool tables. It's also locally owned and operated by the same folks who brought us Scrimshaw Coffee. Do the smash burger and fries! With a Societe Pupil!

Saw this place was open on my regular walk. Was curious about it so stopped in. Immediately got greeted warmly by bartender Jake. Perused the beers an excellent craft selection, I like that they try to have a good local variety. Can't go wrong with a $5 tall boy as well after trying a few of the drafts. Honestly though the pull to come back will be the smash burgers, the food is damn good. Highly recommend trying it or the chimichurri steak sandwich.Met the owner, Will, stopped in and we had a great conversation. Left after a game of pool. See you soon, Will and Jake. Thanks for having me.
