Favorite ramen in SD. The spicy ramen is the way to go. Everything on the menu is pretty good and well priced. Can get busy and have had a free screwed up orders over the years but can't fault the place, they always try to correct it.

It was my first time at a japanese ramen place and it was really good! They have a "death" sauce that is phenomenal for those of you who chase the endorphins with hot foods.

We were seated almost immediately (party of 3). Our server was very friendly and informative, offering to put the spice on the side for my friends who couldn’t handle it. We got the vegetarian ramens (normal and spicy) as well as the spicy chicken and everyone liked it. The soy-based vegetarian broths were surprisingly creamy! Service was quick, with dishes served within 10 minutes of ordering.

SCAMMERS ! Been eating at Nishiki for 6 years and it is my favorite ramen in SD, just don’t recommend this location at all. Everytime I order takeout, they forget items, it happened all 3 times I ordered takeout and when I called to complain they will treat you like you’re lying and ask a bunch of questions over and over again. Last time they told me takeout order are not charged 15% service fee and still charged me and refused to give me a receipt and never got reimbursed. When I got in touch with the manager Daniel, he reimbursed me for the missing item but never offered me an apology or anything like that. In other words, food is good but service sucks, feels like they’re doing you favor! Go to Nishiki in Kearny Mesa, where service is on point and you’re not treated like a liar! I rather driving 15 minutes more to be treated like a real customer.

Tonkotsu broth was excellent, the best so far I have try in San Diego, after 6 other ramen spot this one wins the creamy broth flavour and textures !

I came in one day for lunch after ordering from Nishiki off GrubHub several times. I've tried a few of the ramen bowls on the menu, but my favorite so far has been the smoke black bomb ramen (pictured). I swapped the pork belly chasu out for tofu this time, but that's because I just don't like the texture of fattier meats. Their broths all have great flavor--I doubt there's a bland item on their menu. The pork gyoza was also super yummy and came out piping hot and crisped nicely.Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating.Parking: Free parking lot, but it is shared with a plaza full of businesses so it gets tricky around lunchtime.

This is my favorite ramen place! The soups are all so good! The smoke bomb is great, so is the spicy, I usually get the ring of cashu, and last time I went there was a soup with a one pound slice of roasted pork belly which was amazing ? I also like to get the gyoza and both the soy karage and the chicken karage are delicious. The soy karage is even better I think! Ask for extra dipping sauce! I also love their eggs ?Update** this place is still awesome. I bring friends here often!
