I was severely disappointed with our NYE dinner. First we were seated by the entrance door and every time someone opened the door, cold air would hit our table. One of the guests in my party is 92 years old and he had to keep his coat on the entire time. Second, our server, Tim, brought out the wrong order. We ordered lobster tail dinner and he brought out lobster roll and tried to argue that what is what we ordered. After insisting that it is not what we ordered, he admitted...
What a delightful surprise in the Marriott Marquis! Marina Kitchen is a fantastic waterfront restaurant with stunning panoramic views of the San Diego bay and marina—sitting there watching the boats and skyline is pure relaxation. The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented; the breakfast buffet is generous with great options (love the made-to-order omelets and fresh fruit!), and dinner dishes like the roast chicken and shisito peppers are spot-on delicious.
This was our first time at the Marina Kitchen, and we are not staying at the hotel. We did the Christmas Day dinner buffet for $95 per person, and it was so worth it! You can tell they use quality ingredients. Our only issue was the desserts. The bread pudding was by far the best we’ve ever had, but the rest of the desserts were a bit too sweet.
