Disappointing. My sister and I came here to have a nice dinner. Not crowded or anything. We sat down for about 10 minutes the server came and we asked for 2 more minutes. He didn’t come back for another 30. I walk up and ask the front if someone could take our order and they say “ you haven’t ordered yet” in a rude tone. I feel uncomfortable so i sit down and wait giving them the benefit of the doubt. 20 minutes later. NO SERVER ! We walk up and leave. Honestly disappointing because we wasted our night starving and the restaurant was pretty dead. Sad to say the workers here don’t care very much about there customers. Marriott is a Nice place to stay but don’t go here. The service is not very reliable.

Chilian seabass fish and chips tasted very good, lightly battery fried and full of flavorful

Great food, super friendly service, and if you're into whiskey (or whisky) they have a massive selection. They will also modify menu cocktails based on vague requests. Everything is pretty expensive, in line with all the other items in the hotel, so keep that in mind, but it's a great experience.

A bit overpriced for breakfast buffet with a few options. Food was good. I enjoyed the omelette station and french toast. Casual atmosphere. I wouldnt come back for the price and just head out to iHop with more options :)

Disappointing Beer Experience at Marina Kitchen

I recently visited Marina Kitchen at the Marriott Marquis during Comic-Con, and while the atmosphere was great, I had some issues with my beer service. I sat at the bar, and unfortunately, the female bartenders seemed to struggle with pouring a beer properly. The first glass had an excessive amount of foam, which made it difficult to enjoy, especially given the high price of the drinks. I had to ask for a refill, hoping for a better pour, but overall, it was a bit frustrating.

While I understand that mistakes can happen, I expected better service considering the venue’s reputation and the cost of drinks. Hopefully, this can be improved for future visitors.

The breakfast here is amazing. The omelet station where the chefs make it on demand. I usually do the smoked salmon with capers, spinach and goat cheese. Killah!

I came here yesterday with my family to have dinner during Comic-Con. We didn’t wait long and we were seated in a reasonable amount of time. I currently have some dietary restrictions so I was hoping I could be somewhat accommodated, but instead I felt that I was asking for was impossible. I noticed they offered a side of steak or chicken for some dishes and requested a small side of steak and a side of vegetables. The steak seemed to be not too much to ask for, but when I tried to ask about a side of vegetables, I was told I could not “interrupt the line of food for the chef, they don’t like that, we can’t give you vegetables”. So I was quite surprised when my son’s kids meal came out, with a gourmet side of veggies and French fries. I have temporary dietary restrictions, but I would hate for someone who really has some issues to come here and be treated the same way. Very disappointing.

Service was slow took 30 minutes just to get water and over an hour to get our food. The food was not very good either

our server was fantastic - professional, expedient as we had a couple of children with us, and very pleasant.

I recommend the food as it was quite good. The problem was that we went with a group of people and all wanted to charge our rooms separately to take advantage of the dining credit that the hotel provides. We were not told until the end of the meal that we could only split the bill 2 ways.

Opentable Diner

Food was fine but service was Terrible. Our server, Javier, had a bad mood and made this experience poor. I was there for a conference and have eaten here multiple times which is why I chose to go back. I was surprised to see it less busy than usual but I can only assume the service may have been why. Slow and rude. This is a place where conferences are constant so splitting checks should be standard. He acted as if it was the biggest deal in the world and took forever. Legitimately ordered and got food in about 20 mins. Then it took 30-40 to get the check and pay. We were only a party of 3. It was not even busy.

Always stay at a Marriott and by the size of the hotel and price I was expecting better food it felt like a courtyard breakfast

Oscar was our waiter and he was excellent. This restaurant is only 2 blocks from where I live so it is nice to have a reliable eating place so close.

I was in town for the 2025 NAFSA conference and stayed at the Marriott Marquis. On my last night I made a reservation here and was not disappointed. Food and service was delicious. My family and I all had the short rib ragu, which we definitely recommend!

During the second brunch I hosted with the group, the server was noticeably inattentive. There were no refills offered for coffee or water, and I eventually had to get up and find the server myself. It was disappointing, especially since this brunch was an important meeting for my company. I had hoped to create a comfortable and professional setting for meaningful conversations, but the lack of basic service impacted the overall experience.
