So expensive for the quality of the food. Good service but poor ambience and food quality.

Due to celiac disease, I have to eat gluten free so I was very pleased that Meze had clearly marked numerous menu items as GF. Unfortunately, when my meal was served, there was pita bread placed on top of my gluten free food. When I told the waiter that I couldn't eat the food and I needed to have my order replaced, he yelled at me that it was MY fault because I had not told him I had to be GF.

Hope vibe in a great location in the Gaslamp District. The jalapeño hummus is a great starter. Decent wine list and fun cocktail selection. It’s a perfect place to start the evening.

Meze Greek Fusion never disappoints! The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done—especially the spreads and lamb dishes. Cocktails are creative and delicious, and the vibe is always warm and welcoming. Service is attentive without being pushy. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city!🫒⭐️

This is my third corporate event hosted at Meze, and Veronica with Events never misses! The food and service is always top-tier, and the team always so attentive, making sure that every detail is carefully considered and managed, even the last minute ones. I love love love this restaurant in general, but even more so as an event space for our groups!

Best,

For fellow visitors to San Diego please do not sit on this place. Our service was above and beyond, but what beat that was the great flavors in the food. Ive enjoyed lots of Mediterranean meals but holy smokes was I blown away by the Moussaka (basically a Greek lasagna). Out. Of. This. World.

This little gem in the gaslsmp district in san diego was a great find. The food was excellent and their specialty cocktails were well thought out and hand made. I would highly recommend this restaurant before a game or just a night out. Service was also very attentive.

This place is magnificent! A bit on the expensive side and small portions…

The food is excellent in every way! During our 5 nights in San Diego we ate here twice - it was just that delicious. Particular favorites - the dolmades, spanakopita, watermelon salad and tzatziki! The servers are warm and attentive.

Excellent service, fun dining but a bit pricy on the bar. They charge you a fee if you use a credit card.

The food was excellent. Antonio took care of us. The cheese flambé was out of this world.

I recently dined at Meze in downtown San Diego, a Greek fusion spot that promised a creative twist on Mediterranean classics. The concept of blending Greek and other cuisines sounded exciting, but the execution was sloppy. Unfortunately, the experience was a letdown from start to finish. The ambiance was lackluster, with dim lighting and decor that felt more tacky than inviting.Service was slow and inattentive-our servers ( every time a different person showed up) seemed disinterested, and we waited over 20 minutes just to get water let alone the rest of the drinks we ordered.
The real disappointment was the food. The menu boasted bold fusion dishes, but the execution was abysmal, especially the meat. We ordered Gyro Plate, Gyro Meze and Lamb Chop Meze, expecting tender, flavorful slices, but what arrived was dry, overcooked, and borderline inedible. The texture was rubbery, and it lacked any discernible seasoning, let alone the vibrant Greek flavors advertised. My wife's chicken souvlaki was no better-tough, stringy, and tasting like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for hours. The sides, watery tzatziki that tasted more like ranch dressing, the Greek salad was a sad pile of wilted lettuce with a few crumbles of feta and a dressing that was basically just cheap olive oil with no seasoning. The drinks were even worse; our ouzo Ploumari was so watered down it tasted like licorice-flavored tap water, and house wine was sour and flat.
To top it off, they automatically slapped a 20% gratuity on the bill and 4% rising prices and costs fee on all credit card transactions despite lackluster service.
Adding an automatic 20% gratuity for such a subpar experience felt like a slap In the face. Save your money and skip this place.
