I was craving soup not from the can and couldn't bother with cooking tonight. I'm kind of bummed out how I called this afternoon asking a question about their broth used for the French Onion soup and mentioned I would call later to place an order for dinner. The broth used is beef and I needed time to go over the menu- I don't consume meat. The host failed to mention the restaurant will be closing their doors permanently today at 3pm. Not knowing this.. I ordered my dinner on GrubHub a few hours in advance for a 5pm delivery. So I'm tracking my order..order cancelled at 4pm. Boo. Placed a new order at another restaurant. I haven't dined at Mimi's for awhile and thought it would be great to support this establishment during Covid. Two stars for not being notified when I first called and seeing the restaurant received my GrubHub order and did not cancel my order sooner or call. It's always sad to see a business which has been around for years no longer with us. Best of luck to the staff!

The food in this place it's horrible! Stale pastries! Cold food! The lack of given a f*** it's evident! Avoid this place like a plague!

Really sad experience. We came in 1/29/21. We paid $40 for two chicken pot pies and two teas. We don't mind paying good money for good food. But what we received was really sad. One of our pot pies was almost raw and had literally no chicken. No chicken in a chicken pot pie ????? Quite the rip off to pay that much for a piece of crust with some vegetables and sauce. The cashier was also not wearing a mask when we came in to pick up our order. This restaurant does not follow covid regulations.

Cold food false advertised food restaurant wasn't even busy for the food to be cold silver ware was gross went through 4 separate sets to find a clean enough one to use excellent server but after being disappointed by the silverware and the cold disappointing special I've lost my appetite Je N'aime Pas Mimi's Cafe mira Mesa smh

Although when I bought the meal it was only to go it was one of the best cups of onion soup I ever had. The smoked bacon in my BLT was delicious.

Got Mimi's for Christmas walked in an order was ready willing to exchange pecan pie for apple pie. All the tables removed so don't look at that dirty carpeting

Expectations exceeded! We preordered our Thanksgiving meal for take out and everything was delicious. The staff were organized and friendly.

We Stopped into Mimi's for a quick breakfast yesterday morning my sister had mentioned they have an amazing carrot muffin. The breakfast menu has all the breakfast staples you would expect omelets ,pancakes ,burritos etc.. I opted for the Breakfast tacos with egg, cheese, potatoes, jalapeno, sausage and bacon.. Very good choice it came with 3 tacos and they were delicious I also got one of the coveted carrot muffins and asked for it to be heated up and boy I wasn't disappointed. It was flaky and delicious, add some butter and you have the perfect muffin, not too sweet. Portion sizes were acceptable for the price 12.99 and I left full. They are adhering to all covid requirements and supply sanitizer, require a mask and of course it was sadly take-out. Service was great and we got our food within 10-15 minutes of ordering. Hope to come back when the dining room is open again as it has a great rustic aesthetic inside.
I just got the French Pot Roast take out dinner and it is just delicious - beef with vegetables and delicious gravy over lots of wonderful mashed potatoes. There is enough for at least two people. I got the take out turkey dinner for Thanksgiving and that was equally delicious and filling. I had turkey sandwiches the next day. I highly recommend getting Mimi's take out dinners. I really like helping our local restaurants. It can be delivered if necessary.

This is a spot I've been going to for years However NOT ANYMORE!!! I had surgery so the following day I picked up a meal here in Mira Mesa and it was the chicken artichoke with Onion Soup!! I got FOOD Poisoning a day after my surgery so sick cramping stomach pains throwing up dizziness I would never wish this on anyone. So Monday the first day of the week after I was sick I contacted the Manager Christina !!!!! and she said she couldn't find my take out order I gave her the time I gave her the last four digits of my card For a refund. No sorry no concern no call back . To check on me nor to refund my money . NO REFUND NO CARE OR CONCERN. NO TEMPERATURE CHECKS!!! COVID 19 Not SANITARY!

I ordered a Thanksgiving meal to go last night and it was ready as expected this morning. It included everything in the picture as well as a side salad. The only thing missing was a shot of cool whip on my pie but everything was delicious. I will definitely do it again on Christmas if we are still being imprisoned in our homes.

Very bad service!!! I was sat and no service at all this is the worst location ever i came last time about a year ago and I sent my food back . This will definitely keep me away for good now

Ordered through doordash and my food was horrible, I didn't even eat my breakfast! My sausage was rock hard, could barely cut through it with a knife, scrambled eggs tasted like nothing and my French toast was hard also. The buttermilk spice muffins (which are usually my favorite) were extremely dry. Very disappointed! I used to come here all the time a few years ago, and was never disappointed!
