Been having some great seafood all week in San Diego and decided to go to Mister sushi for some last fresh fish. I was highly disappointed by the quality. Got two rolls that came out to be $40 and they were not good. The fish did not taste fresh or good and everything tasted a bit off. I love sushi and was hungry but couldn’t even finish these rolls. I don’t know if it was a one-off occurrence but I will not be coming back.

We would come here every week if we could! The #17 roll is the best sushi roll I’ve ever had. The sushi chefs are awesome and have learned our go to orders and what we might like trying. All around our favorite place to get sushi!

We made our reservation a few days early because my brother and his wife wanted to celebrate their wedding there. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely full. Despite our reservation, we were told to sit at the bar. As we wanted to have a chat and still had something to celebrate, this was not an option. A table became available, but we were not allowed to take a seat as the table was reserved. However, we had also made a reservation. Nevertheless, we were sent away.I would definitely not recommend coming here.

We had a reservation for a table for 4 people which we had booked well in advance. When we arrived, however, we were told that there was no table and that we could only sit next to each other at the bar. Of course, we remarked that we would prefer to sit at a table as you can't have a good conversation at the bar next to each other. However, the staff were very unfriendly to us and had no understanding for our situation. Definitely cannot recommend this restaurant.

We made a reservation in advance, planned in advance to get there on time, and there was an empty table and they refused to seat us there. Just don’t waist your time going there. Horrible service.

Their website prices are not correct. Add 10-15% to everything. They should really update their website when they update their menu.

It’s a little hole in the wall sushi place, yet the food is good and the service is great.

We visited Mister Sushi for our anniversary last month and I am still fantasizing about the salmon sashimi we had. Everything else was excellent too- but wow. I haven't had salmon that good in a long time, if ever. It's very much a "hole in the wall" energy. I've walked by dozens of times and never paid much attention to it. Just a handful of tables and seats at the sushi bar. You can tell everyone who works there puts a lot of pride into what they do. Regulars are greeted like family. Everyone works together for service. I'll admit I didn't have high expectations for sushi in PB, but I was pleasantly surprised. Truly everything was delicious from the rolls to the fresh sashimi. I hope to return soon!

When you walk in a sushi place and it's warm inside you already know you should leave. I stayed. Mistake. Rolls nothing special. Beers coldish msybe a second star for that. Sushi small cuts normal prices. Won't return.

Walking in was thinking this could either be a great hole in the wall or just some bad sushi place. Unfortunately it's the latter and just has that grungey look. Not sure how this place has 4.6 stars, like wow. There's no salmon rolls, their Nigiri is bleh. The hand rolls are the stingiest I have EVER seen, filled with rice and no fish. My baked salmon roll was also about half the size it should normally be. The entire menu looked kinda stingy noticing that there were no rolls with salmon and that turned out to be a good hunch. Everything here is about being as cheap as possible with no regard for quality. The sushi tastes bad. For the quality and portions, the price should be half.
