This location is a hit or miss regarding food and service. This time we arrived around 5pm and the service was excellent and the food was good, although the pizza order was wrong. We ordered our extra cheese to be put on top of the toppings to keep them from rolling/falling off the pizza, but that did not happen. The time before, it was busy and they misplaced our order and it took over an hour before our pizza was finally made and served to us an hour and a half later. Both times we dined inside the restaurant. No consistent service or food at the La Mesa location. Bummer.
45 minute wait for takeout when I was told it would be 15. The place wasn’t even busy. The one in Clairemont is way faster and busier.Update. After an hour, we just requested the order to be canceled. They didn’t show any empathy. I wish I had not left a cash tip. Horrible customer service.

Only ever ordered delivery, delivery times are atrocious. Half a mile away from the shop and it still takes FOREVER. Pizza is pretty damn good

The pizza Buffett has no pizza ! I went twice and just saw frustrated customers asking if more pizza was coming out they had 2 slices of cold chicken ranch pizza laying out for over an hour before I just left . No variety of pizza and nothing fresh . They are understaffed cashier is also the only cook and has to run the whole place . Employees are nice but they have no help and short staffed the place is just ran badly . I tried talking to management and sending an email but never got a response so here we are . The clairemont location is ran much better I don't get how this location is still open .

I was at a friend's apartment last night for pizza...a regular thing for the last 5 years. She ordered the same pizza she always orders at 4:45 for delivery at 5:30pm. At 6pm we were advised the pizza would be delivered at 6:18. It was very nearly 6:30 before the order was received, it was cold and nothing close to what was ordered. We called Mountain Mikes and were told they would fill our order for pickup and to keep what was delivered. No amount of warming would have made that pizza edible! It went in the trash. We picked up the reorder only to discover again it was not the pizza we ordered. While it was slightly better than the first pizza, we didn't eat it. On a scale of 1-10 the 2nd pizza barely made it to 1! By the way the pizza cost us $40 for a tasteless large pizza! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! I know we will! I only gave them 1 star because I couldn't post the review without it!

I went to try the $9 lunch buffet. It was a pretty good deal. You get all you can eat pizza and salad. I was not very hungry so I only had a few pieces of pizza. It was ok pizza, not my favorite but not my least favorite. The pizzas are were very little and they had had a few options, pepperoni, cheese, veggie, Hawaiian and an onion bacon one. There is a lot of seating area.

We love the pizza here! Never disappoints and the pepperoni curls! They even went and bought crayons for our kids so they could color. Service is top notch.

I love pizza and wings. I grew up in New York so it’s apart of me. Taste and quality wise this place is bad. The lady was very nice who took my order, but the wings are the pre-made ones you can buy at Walmart and the pizza tasted like a DiGiorno that’s been sitting out.

We grabbed an early dinner and the food was pretty good. The staff seemed to be bored as there weren't many customers eating in. The dining area was pretty chilly and I wonder if the thermostat is in the kitchen. Not bad, will try again.
The garlic cheese bread here is to die for! The service here is exceptional. I ordered take-out for me and a few friends. Upon arrival, (I think her name was)September greeted me with a warm smile and was very knowledgable about all of the menu items. She suggested I try the Pike's Peak pizza in addition to my usual garlic bread. My friends and I loved it and had the best pizza night. Thanks Mountain Mike's, will definitely be coming back soon.

This place is great. Awesome neighborhood pizza place. I used to love going here on Sunday nights, but, I no longer go. Why? Because they used to have non-dairy cheese for their pizzas upon request, and now they dont. (I can't have dairy) sad day when I found that out. If you can eat real cheese, then definitely go and grab a pie!For the owners, please add non-dairy cheese back to the menu so I can come back!

This place needs to get its act together. This has been our go to neighborhood pizza joint for years. We are done!!! The last 3 times have been a nightmare. This time we waited 74 mins for our pizza!! 74 mins?? R U Serial ?? Our transgender non binary child has special needs and acts out and we didn't have enough quarters to keep them busy at the arcade machines. At one point we had to take them to CVS to use the restroom since there is not an all gender bathroom. Kayden wears a dress and needs special accommodations so it doesn't touch the floor. Finally the pizza comes out and it's on fire temp wise. Bye bye mountain mikes. We are finding something new that doesn't take 74 mins and cares about our children.

Nice to find a casual pizza place in San Diego that you can sit down and they also have a salad bar!! During the week day they have pizza buffet. Wish they also had it in the weekend as well. Pizza was good. Would definitely come back for the salad bar!

Nice clean spot and friendly service. I got the buffet for $13.75 w my veteran discount. Like always the pepperoni pizza is the best in San Diego! Cheese pizza is yummy too. The blue cheese sauce is super chunky n delicious. I'm not a fan of green peppers, ham or pineapple so I don't get any of the other pizza. That's why they only get 3 stars. I wish the whole pizza menu was part of the buffet. I basically only ate the pepperoni pizza. For $14 I could've just got a pepperoni pizza to go. Mountain Mike's you have so many yummy different types of pizza please include them in the buffet
