The Lodge Burger is one of the best around but the biscuits are the star here. I did not expect them to be as good as they are, but they are amazing and range from savory to sweet. It’s a busy place and service is adequate but a little slower than average.

Soo we must have came on an off day. My girlfriend and I were told the wait would be 15 minutes and after waiting more than 30, we went back to the hostess to check how much longer and we were told we were “somehow not saved” even though we got a confirmation text that we were on the waitlist. We were then seated at a poorly bussed table with a sticky surface and the floor had large water puddles. It took an additional 15 minutes for our waitress to come. They were clearly SEVERELY understaffed — to the point where they should have just closed for the day. I ordered the veggie power bowl with steak and my girlfriend ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich. The food was good BUT I found a METAL WIRE in my food that I accidentally ate and was chewing on. Overall our experience began to feel like an ordeal and we will not be back.

Food is good, service is friendly but super slow. The first time I thought it was a one off and its a cozy enough place to sit and do nothing. The second time I came I left after being seated for over 30 min and the server not coming back. I went somewhere a few feet away, ordered what I was going to get at OB surflodge, I was able to order and recieve my food in less than 20 minutes.

The portions are a good size and the food is consistently excellent. The staff is friendly and if you sit at the rail on the patio the view is incredible. The merch is also nice. Pet friendly. It is a must to stop here every time we are in San Diego!

I absolutely loved breakfast here! I’d heard great things about the biscuits and gravy, so I ordered them as a side and wow, they were delicious. I also had the scramble, which was packed with generous portions of sausage, ham, bacon, etc. The eggs were fluffy and cooked perfectly. I added a waffle on the side, which was decent, but next time I’m definitely trying the French toast. We sat in a high booth toward the back and enjoyed a fantastic view of the pier and the ocean, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Great food, great atmosphere. I’d happily come back!

The best breakfast food I have ever had. My 5 year old decided on his own that he needed to tell the chef good job - he's never done that before. We had strawberry French toast, the breakfast sandwich, and a berries and cream biscuit. The coffee was decent - better than Starbucks, but nothing special. The food was outstanding. Place was very busy, definitely get a reservation.
Great location on the beach....Food is good enough... they use good ingredients and the presentation is nice but the service is slow. The kitchen seems to be overwhelmed and the often missrs things on orders...But its the beach and the prices are not terrible.

I have eaten here for breakfast probably about 10 times now and while I do love the food, the atmosphere and the view, the service has been quite lacking. This weekend was probably the worst it ever has been. Food is always good! I love the coffee as well. The only downside is sometimes you wait 10-15 minutes before a server comes over once you are seated, and there have been several times where I am waiting 20-30 minutes after I am finished eating for the bill to come. I feel like I might need to start closing the bill when they bring the food out so I can leave at a reasonable time after I am done eating. Again, I really love the food and the view, but the wait for service and to check out at the end honestly is making me not want to return. From the time we sit down to the time we leave is typically over an hour, sometimes closer to 1.5 hours and unfortunately, I just don't have that much time for breakfast in the morning. I really wish they could improve here.
