Ordered the unagi (eel) bowl and the eel was so fatty it barely had any flesh. The skin was left on the eel and it smelled like a bucket of baitfish when I opened the bowl. The sauce was most certainly diluted with water. It was quite literally weak sauce. Absolutely lowest quality Japanese food I have ever had. Probably had something to do with the entire staff speaking loudly in Vietnamese. I felt lied to.

Osaka is a family favorite. The food is always great! The staff there know what they're doing. Only con is the bathrooms. They need to be refreshed more often and given more of a homey touch. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with any food order from Osaka. Perfect Bento boxes and yummy specialty rolls!

This was another first for us!
Honestly, I don’t think we will be back!
Service is not great, the older lady who sat us just walked over to the table and dropped the menus, no words. Then the girl who was taking our order (our waitress) has no people skills. Almost like she didn’t want to be there, not friendly, very stale when taking the orders and then when she brought the food, she just sat the food and walked away! No words from her and when she would come by the table to take an empty dish, she did not ask once everything was ok or if we needed anything!
The food was okay for the price, but the bad service will keep me away.

Fresh, fresh , fresh! We had a delicious sushi lunch! The service was quick, the fish delicious and we will be back. Easy parking, friendly staff and lots to choose from.

Really good sushi, great prices, and truly the nicest people ever. I've tried every sushi restaurant in the neighborhood and none of them are nearly as good.

Been coming here for 20 years.
You're not paying for decor. It is casual.
The sushi is excellent and at pricing that is a value.
Family owned and the staff are wonderful.

I expected more for 4.6 stars. Not very clean :(

They trickle out the sushi as it’s ready, which is awkward for the 1 person eating in the party who has their food.

We ordered Fried noodles for the kids. Not very tasty. Too much ginger/pepper.

Teriyaki bowl didn’t have much sauce and was ok overall. The chicken was plain and didn’t have any sauce on it (sauce was on rice, plain chicken places on top) but at least the plain chicken was good quality.

California roll, half of the pieces were missing portions of rice as shown on my pic.

Crunch roll was ok.

Had quick bite with an old friend during the evening time, mid week. Always a nice place to go to if you need your sushi fix or just want assorted Japanese food. Osaka, is located in Mission Valley, right off the freeway. My favorite is the Teriyaki chicken. My only gripe with this dish is the chicken to rice ratio. Lots of rice, small portion chicken.

Food is still good as with service 👍🏼

Parking's a challenge and parking stalls are tight 👎

Probably one of the best sushi spots and definitely the cheapest! Such great value for incredible sushi! This was my fist sushi experience in 2003. Quality and care go into the food. Never have had a roll fall apart. Can't say enough.
