Terrible customer service. If I could give less stars, I would. Staff were visibly uncomfortable by me because I’m black. They were nice and welcoming to the white customers, but were rude & cold to me. This is not a safe space for black people.

If there were less than one star, I would select that. Order was wrong. Eventual correct order was nowhere near what was advertised - small, dry, soggy. Even cookie was stale, dry and hard. Never ordering from here again.

Food great, as always, unfortunately the restaurant is incredibly dirty. In the morning 8:45 a.m. Floor full of crumbs, garbage, servings and food leftovers, tables sticky with spilled drinks or similar.

The interior of this Panera is a bit dated, but they do have convenient kiosks for ordering, in addition to cashiers. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I ordered a coffee and bagel with cream cheese. The order was accurate, but my coffee was unfortunately lukewarm.
My biggest issue was the cleanliness of the dining area. Even though it was morning, there were dirty plates and leftover food on several tables and crumbs everywhere. I had to wipe down my own table before I could sit. There were also a few homeless individuals in the dining area, although they weren't causing any problems. The restaurant also had a somewhat stale smell.
While the staff was nice and the service was fast, the dirty dining area and lukewarm coffee make me not want to return to this location.

Worst Panera I have ever been too. Workers were rude, took forever and food came out cold. Avoid this place

First visit to a Panera. The bread was tasty but other items I ordered were of very low quality, at inflated prices. The staff treated me like an inconvenience and I heard one say he didn’t drink the coffee, which I understood when I tried my own cup.

I just moved here. I order a grilled cheese sandwich with soup, dine in.. I'm waiting for 15mins at my table. I keep hear names called for orders. And I finally got up walked to the pick up windows and I asked them where my order was and the young man told me I called your name sir... I was like bro. I'm sitting at table 4... I'm in front of thr pick up windows. You never said my order. And he started to apologize while walking away from me..bro im talking to you about the food i paid for.. what you guys did do is leave my food out and cold. I get it. Food workers are always getting craped on, but when a customer is waiting front of the window don't lie.

We entered the facility and found the person a little hesitant to come to the front and take our order. It was as if we were interrupting her.
The tables needed to be bussed and wiped down and ready for the next customer.
It's not an impressive facility.

Nice bagel with a cup of cream cheese that you must spread for $5.37. Try DZ Akins or Gold Coast Bagels in La Mesa for a decent bagel. Staff is on edge due to being under siege from people who need a restroom. For kindness, try Corner Bakery. Plan on buying something to use a restroom. SD has no public restrooms like classier cities to the south in Tijuana and Chula Vista. It also has a 12 to 15 year waiting list for public housing, and limited mental health care options even if you have a million dollars in the bank.

Was greeted warmly by the front of the house staff. They offered me the new seasonal soup and sandwich pairing. I chose a hot chicken sandwich and a Hardy beef chili soup but really came to try their new cinnamon scramble.
I am so glad that they are doing beef chili as it’s a great way to hit my protein goals! Flavors on the soup and sandwich were right on point. I believe it was the quality and freshness of the bread on the sandwich that really turned it up a notch. And absolutely loved the cinnamon scramble it is a must try!
Cafe seemed well maintained and clean. There is safe paid parking downstairs and all the entrances and restrooms are wheelchair accessible. The dining room also has wheelchair accessible tables.
Overall great experience the front of the house staff was continuously cleaning the dinning areas and drink station also stopped by our table to ask if we enjoyed their suggestions.
The transient situation is a real problem but it’s understandable when the whole team is made up of young ladies.
Vegetarian options: Many sandwiches and salads on the menu were clearly marked vegetarian.
Dietary restrictions: Staff seems very knowledgeable about ingredients. And we’re quick to make suggestions when we described our dietary restrictions.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps at the entrance or exit of the café, making it wheelchair accessible
