This place is amazing had so much fun with my family and friends. Treasure hunt for kids around the island kept them busy and i highly recommend this place one of my favorite places. So much things to do and rooms are nice with amazing views.

Paradise Point was one of the first resorts I visited when I relocated from Spain to San Diego. The beach is open to the public yet many don't know that apparently the land belongs to the city of San Diego and can be used by anyone. However it is not common to see people not staying at the hotel at that beach area mostly because SD is so gorgeous there are so many other places to go without having the crashing in feeling. I went recently after very long for a fantastic yoga class provided for free by the Mission Bay resorts together with a local fitness center as part of the Fitness February program. So this gave me the opportunity to reconnect with this fantastic place, go up to the tower and see the view (the day was a bit gray so probably better during sunny days). Luscious palms and greenery, pools, shopping opportunities and restaurants. I love the resort for various types of events, maybe one day I book for a weekend staycation!

This is my 3rd visit to this amazing resort. The first visit was in 2000, second around 2011 and lastly this past week. The resort just gets better and better. It's on its on island. Water sports, access to the bay, great restaurants, 7 pools, bungalow rooms, beautiful grounds. I would highly recommend. Such a great vibe and friendly helpful staff!!

Their website makes this place look so good and high quality "resort and spa" but the rooms are dirty, the locations are not as advertised on the website; rooms are tiny, it flooded last weekend for a lot of people. Being here for a big conference you would think this place is nice for the area it is in. Save your money and stay somewhere else on the bay.

A few things. the pillows cases had tiny balls on them, sheets felt thin and worn out. The sofa was sinking through made noises every time you sat/moved on it. The floors were peeling. The tv remote was nasty. the phone was nasty and they did replace the remote. The room smelled like dog urine and they did send housekeeping to freshen up the room and offered a different room. I have been coming since about 2011 and wI'll not be back. They need to upgrade their rooms and prune their beaches.

We stayed for two nights- three rooms (Friday- Sunday) check in was under last night Holbrook in case they claim this review is fact 1) our bad for leaving the keys in the car unlock 2) my keys have an Apple air tag on them 3) my keys have a "wallet" attached to them We woke to check out on Sunday around 9am ish maybe 10am. My husband notice the keys were missing to our truck but not only just the truck. The truck key and Camry keys were missing (mind you there $300 cash was sitting in the center console). Whoever "broke " into the truck only took the keys and not the cash. We were awake until 11;30pm having a fire and were awake by 9am, very short window. The second my husband could not locate my keys I pulled the AirTag location. The location took to directly to a housekeepers cart. When I approached her she was nice but kind laughed at me a bit. When I asked her to call Secuirty she wouldn't. I started to walk back to my room (7rooms over) she followed me. The AirTag also followed with her movement. I went back to show her and she would not acknowledge it. Billy from security showed up (amazing person). I was showing him the location of the Apple tag and what was going. He agreed it was odd and something was up. He went above and beyond to help us. The housekeepers staff, including their "manager", made it out to be they were the victim and I was wrong. There was zero help from them. I had clear evidence that a staff member was involved with the act.... Zero help. While the front desk manager was nice there was no assistance from her. From 9am-2:30 we worked with multiple tow truck companies to get my $80k truck towed from their property. The only person who cared was Billy!!! We spent $2,000 to be treated like trash

Our vacation was great until we came to registration to check out. The customer service from worker named LORIE was horrible. She was very disrespectful, and rude. I asked questions about charges, she got mad right away. During booking we got one price for the room, during checkout price was raised $20 pet night. I explained that I received conformation with totally different price during booking, but LORIE refused in very rude manner to check if there is a mistake. Made me feel that I am kind of her server. I hope managment will take it to consideration. We booked 3 rooms and left with unpleasantness. Would think twice now if I want to return to this place and spend my money here.

Booked here for a mini staycation for my husband and I so we can freely celebrate a special occasion. The resort itself is beautiful and all staff were very welcoming and courteous. However, the reason for this review is to individually point out one gal that stood out far above the rest: Rebecca! I called the front desk upon arriving to our room, to mention a possible inconvenience that may had occurred if we had stayed in that room (for the children next doors sake ). Rebecca went above and beyond, truly, to accommodate everyone involved. She quickly moved us to a new (and let's not forget to mention immaculate) room, to help us better celebrate our occasion. Even had a gentleman bring us the key to our new room! It's the small gestures that count, which showcase the fine qualities of a human being that create the energy and guest experience at any establishment, after all. Rebecca single handedly helped us have the experience of a lifetime at your resort, through her consideration & understanding. On a side note, we are always exploring different venues for our adventures but I believe we have found our frequent staycation place at Paradise Point! We will definitely be visiting on a monthly basis, booking the same room Rebecca showed us. It was perfect! Rebecca, a big shout out to you for helping us create a magically stunning evening! We hope to be able to meet you in person next time, for a thank you and a smile, face to face! Thanks again, you're amazing!!!

Came here for a friend's 40th birthday. They rented a suite which had a good amount of space, patio with an ourdoor fire pit and small kitchenette. The view was great!

Day one at Paradise Point. My wife and I had breakfast at The Barefoot Bar and Grill and we were impressed. So much so that we decided to stay for a couple nights. We went home, packed, and returned for a two night stay. On our return, the island and grounds are stunning. Just beautiful. High hopes. The room is large, comfortable and beautiful. A tad dated, but no worries. Red flag one: The front desk staff was rude and unknowledgeable. If I owned a supposedly stellar resort, I'd make very, very sure that my front desk staff was impeccable. Red flag two. A return to The Barefoot Bar and Grill was disappointing. It was almost empty which is fine. What's disappointing is that in an almost empty restaurant i repeatedly had to look for my server for help. Red flag three: The TV is pretty much out of the 90s. It's a decent Samsung flat screen, but it has no online guide. There is a placard guide on the coffee table. The tv literally takes many button presses and several second TO CHANGE CHANNELS! I'm not exaggerating. More to follow

My husband and I decided to have a staycation in our home city just to get out of dodge and decompress from the holiday madness. I booked our room on Expedia.com for a decent rate considering we would be staying just 2 nights over New Years. When we got there the place was packed. What i didn't expect is the hoards of children all over the place. Check in was pretty simple and straight forward even those we were accompanied by our two 40lbs dogs. The resort only provides one parking space per room at $42/day. I had to park my Range Rover about 200 yards away in the public lot. We brought our dogs and they put us in a room the size of a kennel between 2 rooms that each had a private patio/sitting area. 1-ply toilet paper. Room service came to us in a paper bag with plastic utensils and paper plates. I've had huge holiday parties here and loved it. I don't really know what expectations were going to be on NYE but this stay didn't hit the mark. We left after the first night and went to another hotel. Everything has a fee! I'm surprised they didn't charge us for every flush of the toilet. I can accept the fee for our dogs and the loss of money paid to Expedia for the night we decided to forfeit but the hotel also assessed us an early check out fee. This fee with taxes cost more than their published nighty rate on their website. So we got screwed multiple times and the hotel refused to compensate us via Expedia for a single cent. Thanks Paradise Point, you lost an incredibly loyal customer forever.

Service requested - one night stay. Quality - Grounds were beautiful and gave Island aesthetic. We had the lanai garden view and shared the garden with other guests in other cottages. It was quiet and had ample parking onsite. During holidays, they had daily activities planned for guests. Location was about 15-20 minutes from Downtown SD.

My wife and I spent three nights over the Christmas holiday at Paradise Point Resort. It is a beautiful setting and the rooms are nice however I felt a few things were a miss! They will sell you wine at their store but the room had no glasses (only paper coffee cups), there were no robes in the room and no hand/body lotion. Room service did not show on the second day so we had to call the front desk to get our coffee bar restocked! A resort fee and a parking fee is in addition to the room cost! With the additional charges I expect these amenities. And take some of that money and find out why there is an overpowering smell of raw sewage that hits you as you walk the grounds. Exposed pipe and conduit is clearly visible in front of the bar as seen from the dock. If you are advertising and charging as a resort then live up to hype and be a resort!

Stayed here for a night while I was on business in San Diego. I really loved this place! It doesn't even feel like you are in SD - it felt more like a tropical paradise away from the bustling city. It's along the water with so many ponds and very lush landscaping. We saw many different types of birds and sea life (small sharks, big fish, stingray, etc.) Room: Stayed in a Bungalow suite with a huge bed, jack n jill bathrooms, and a large living room with patio overlooking the way. Small kitchenette with microwave and mini fridge and Keurig. The room was one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in, and I appreciated they had bluetooth speakers and wireless charges (It's 2023.... don't know why hotels still have these old ones that aren't even compatible!) Service: we ate at the Barefoot bar. I got a plate of nacho and was shocked by how big the plate was. Definitely had leftovers. Service was great. Every single interaction I had with the staff was excellent from the front desk, to the spa, to the golf cart driver, and the little market staff they have on site for snacks or coffee. 100% recommend this place and will stay there again.
