I never wrote a review for a restaurant before because I thought it would get lost in the thousand other ones. But man when I say this is high quality food and they are a good price. You get what you pay for in life and this place is perfect. Im a big guy who loves to eat and im not claiming my to be a food critic but I have never had a problem with this place. I only come to San Diego for this place and the ocean. I have eaten here at least 5 times, Even once the owner came out and checked on me and my girlfriend as he checked in with everyone else and what better sight to see then the owner and employees so down to earth and see how the customers are. This place is the bees knees and I only see them going up from here! 💪🦞 p.s your mozzarella sticks are so bomb!

My fiancé and I spent a week in San Diego celebrating our anniversary, and on our very first day, we stopped at a lobster roll spot in Coronado—unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. Before heading home, we were determined to find a proper lobster roll experience, and that’s when we found Pete’s Seafood and Sandwiches. We are so glad we did!

Pete’s was everything we were hoping for and more. From the cold to the hot lobster roll, every bite was perfect—fresh, flavorful, and generously filled. The sparkling sangria was refreshing and delicious, and even the coleslaw (something we usually overlook) was a standout. Everything on the plate was a hit!

To top it all off, the service was incredible. Pete himself was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—it’s clear he takes pride in his food and his guests’ experience.

This place is a hidden gem and will absolutely be our go-to spot every time we’re in San Diego. Thank you, Pete, for turning our lobster roll luck around!

This place is more than amazing. I am from the East Coast so am used to Maine lobster, whole belly clams, etc and find west coast seafood very sub par for us coastal transplants. This restaurant has it all. Even if you aren’t a sea food lover. Super good prices and the portion/quality is outstanding. Service is really good and friendly too. Evidently, the owner is from outside of Boston so he knows his stuff. The seafood is imported and super fresh!! I can’t say enough good things. I live close and will be frequenting! Thank you, Pete’s Seafood.

If you want a true taste of New England, come here for a truly authentic meal! The chowdah is the best I've had so far in San Diego. Chock full of tender clams, potatoes and the perfect consistency, they know how to do it right! I also had the fried whole belly clams, which is an impossible thing to find here. They were so delicious, I was transported back to my home. The portions are huge, served with crispy fries and tasty coleslaw, I was able to get another meal from leftovers. The service was great, and they also have a bar or outdoor dining. I highly recommend Pete's. I can't wait to return!!

When there's more lobster than there is bread, it's a happy day. So worth it.

The shrimp po boy was really good. Perfectly fried shrimp and good bread. I wish the bread was a little bigger because they give you so much shrimp but that doesn't change anything. Others in my group got the lobsters rolls and fried fish and everyone liked their food.

It was busy but we got our food quickly. The service was great! They were very welcoming and accommodating for our little group. I'm definitely coming back!

Delicious food but hard to find parking.
The fish plate was light and tasty.
The shrimp po boy, the shrimp was amazing but didn't really go well with the rest of the sandwich in my opinion.
The clam chowder was good.

Had a stellar lobster roll sandwich here last fall and could not wait to come back. Not nearly as good. Very disappointed.

I dont even know where to begin with this place. The meal which was like one and half plates of food was a total of $70. The lobster rools looked like someone wrung a washcloth and stuck lobster on it. Totally overpriced and disappointing.
