I don't want to give 1 star review. but the restaurant service was terrible. I have to say their attitude was contemptuous of me. I never go out to eat without tipping like today.

Pho was okay (got medium pho tai). Generous amount of meat; broth was not my favourite (but decent).
Everything felt light, structured, and quietly enjoyable.

Always my go-to Vietnamese Pho spot, been going here ever since I was a child. Great pricing, extremely fast service, and the broth is rich. This place looks old-fashioned but I think it has its own charm, definitely Vietnamese owned.

I'm always looking for the best Pho. The aroma of their spices hits you as soon as you enter the restaurant. Service is good. The food is served promptly and very hot. The Pho was very good and tasty. Ample of vegetables to add to your servings.

They only serve pho, no appetizers, and they didn’t have chili paste.
Terrible place. The food is disgusting, and the prices are wrong. When you get the check they will charge you at least 20% extra. Never coming back.

Proper pho house that is open at 7am. The flavor, portion size and service is all top notch at this San Diego no frills institution.

The restaurant itself needs an update. It's very dingy but service is quick and polite. The pho itself is plain and has no flavor, but the prices are fair, and the lemonade is delicious.

Phò Hòa in City Heights/Talmadge is a classic, fairly authentic Vietnamese pho dining experience. I give this spot a solid 4.4/5 stars. It’s not the greatest I’ve had, but it’s definitely up there. The layout of the restaurant, the busyness, and the carts they use remind me a lot of being on the train in Vietnam.
To say they’re on top of the tables is an understatement—the staff are constantly available, cleaning, and ready to take your order at any second. My friend and I ordered brisket, rare steak, and tripe pho. We loaded up our bowls with basil, jalapeños, hoisin, sriracha, and chili oil.
The broth was good, the meat was tender—particularly loved the brisket—and the portions were good. For some reason my bowl had a smaller portion of noodles, but there’s plenty of meat, so I’m not complaining. I think that the broth could use a bit more complexity, perhaps more anise and a longer steeping time with more bones.
All in all, it’s a solid pho though. Lots of seating, fast service, a range of meat cuts—basically a no-frills, classic pho eatery with good prices and a no-nonsense atmosphere. If I had to choose other pho places to rank above this one, I’d say Pho Sao Bien or Pho Minh are slightly better in terms of broth quality.
