Por Vida Coffee is a cool San Diego spot with an awesome theme / vibe for the neighborhood and culture. It’s easy to park, which already makes it a win, and the handcrafted drinks are consistently good and thoughtfully made.

It’s a nice place to stop in, grab a quality coffee, and enjoy the vibe without any hassle. Solid choice if you’re in the area.

The dulce latte was fine. Not great, but not awful either. Cool interior.

Located right on Logan Ave in the heart of Barrio Logan, Por Vida is a cool little cafe with loads of artsy local style.

Everywhere you look you’ll find colorful artwork, including the glittery table tops which reminded me of cool low riders.

I enjoyed my iced De La Olla Latte, although I didn’t pick up the orange flavor. It was delicious nonetheless.

This is a great cafe to sit and soak up the neighborhood vibes.

I visited this coffee shop with my husband after driving all the way to Barrio Logan specifically because I received a gift receipt here. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When we tried to use the gift receipt, the girl at the register told us they couldn’t scan it, which seemed odd. She was also quite short and rude, which didn’t sit well with us. I understand that sometimes places get busy, but rudeness is never justified.

We asked another employee about how to use the gift receipt, but she didn’t know either and mentioned there was no manager on site. So, we ended up paying for our drinks out of pocket, which was frustrating. I ordered the Mazapan Latte, but it didn’t have the expected Mazapan flavor at all—just a basic coffee that wasn’t worth the price. My husband got the Por Vida latte, and he felt the same way about it.

The coffee wasn’t impressive, and considering the prices, it felt more like a tourist trap. The artwork inside was nice, but Barrio Logan has plenty of cool art everywhere, so it didn’t make up for the poor customer service and mediocre drinks. This experience was disappointing, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
