ordered a burrito to go (which i paid for in-store) and i left right away to go deliver an order from porkyland to their mobile delivery customer, as to not waste time. when i went to pick it up, after the delivery loop, it wasnt there ..so they said they could make another but that theyd have to charge me again for the same burrito and said to look around in a few days to see if they charged me for the first burrito. boo ! where is the customer service there !? wont be back even if its good lol 😝 i sat there for about 10 minutes to decide what to do, since i had just driven 40 minutes out of my way to
pick up this already paid for burrito. after realizing i was quite frustrated, i bought the second burrito (which was really just still the first burrito). i tipped well both times so i actually paid $38 for one carne asada burrito. they didnt really seem like it was a big deal that my burrito was missing. i would avoid this place, just on that alone

edit: i went back and it went well. much better. had a carne asada bowl and it was bomb diggity, my ninjas đŸ„·

California burrito was really really good. I've tried some other things and the quinoa bowl wasn't my favorite. Service was really nice and food came out very quick so that's a big plus!

Ordered the family meal for 8 people for a small party. It was delicious and generous portions. Carne asada was flavorful and tortillas were fresh. This is our new favorite takeout spot. Kids approved too.

every few years i go back to porkyland to see if the quality changed. this is the pico de gallo they gave me.

owners of porkyland, please dont let .30 cents in condiments tarnish your restaurant.

cilantro does not look like that from sitting in a box for 10 mins while i drove back to work. this pico is from yesterday......

Went here for lunch. The food is pretty decent. However, they are way overpriced compared to many other taco and burrito shops in the surrounding area. Had the bean and cheese burrito, which was decent sized and OK for the price. However, the Carnitas regular sized taco was more like a street taco with a single tortilla. Most places, especially the really good Mexican ones, serve tacos with plenty of meat on 2 tortillas. A little disappointed at that. Salsa was mediocre at best.

Stood at the front of the register for 15 minutes I kid you not while cashier was having a slow bathroom break. Back staff wouldn’t even make eye contact. Don’t say you’re open if you’re clearly not

Wanted to grab a taco and ended up ordering the carne asada taco full size. It was $6 for a tortilla and a small pile of meat and onions. No guac or anything else. It was pathetic. What a terrible value and taste was totally subpar. Corn tortillas was stale and no better that what a 7/11 would offer. I would not recommend

Sauce Nazis. I ordered 36 dollars of food and got two cups of salsa and had to beg them for more. Also tiny portions. 11 dollars for a burrito the size of a kids meal burrito.

I have been going to Porkyland since I was 5 years old and it’s still got my favourite carnitas in the city! I don’t live in San Diego anymore but I make a point to come here every time I’m back!

Vegetarian options: All I can say is that they make gigantic burritos that the staff are happy to customize, so you can say you want a big burrito with grilled veggies, black beans, potatoes, and spicy salsa, hold the cheese and grill the burrito until crispy and cut the burrito into quarters, and they will do it. They aim to please. Burritos hit the spot and can last 2+ meals. Love this place!

This place truly does not let down, I walked in expecting another taco shop but this place shows how much passion they put into their food, the ambience is relaxing and welcoming, the outside sitting area has theses light bulbs that set the mood for a romantic date and something to just admire. The staff are friendly, helpful, and understanding. It is an open kitchen, and you can see how clean and efficient they are, not only in the kitchen but also in the tables, restroom, and counters. You are able to pay with the tap feature, which makes it easier for people who don't carry cash, like myself. THIS PLACE IS A MUST COME??!!!!!!
