I've been traveling to the SD/La Jolla area for years and I've been told about this place repeatedly. We finally made the trip over and it was well worth the wait. Super cool atmosphere. Fantastic drinks.

Gorgeous speakeasy with a hidden entrance inside of a 1920's-esque liquor shop. It embodies an elegant and moody vibe and offers a solid cocktail menu and liquor flights... an absolute yes. Reservations in advance strongly suggested. Highly recommend.

Raised by wolves does not serve food at all. The drinks are small but mighty. Honestly you're going for the ambience and the vibe which is with every penny.

The staff is always very friendly and the bartenders are very knowledgeable on what drinks to try. Always a great atmosphere

Drinks were mediocre. Place is looking a bit tired. Table tops peeling, missing drawers, seats over worn. Music was a missed opportunity to create a vibe

Everything was fine with one exception - our waitress left us unattended for approximately 45 min with empty drink glasses. Finally, one of the other servers came over and asked us if needed anything. Place is unique, fancy, and priced at the level that one would expect above average service, not neglect...

We went to Raised by Wolves for cocktails before dinner. We have been their before, our freinds had not. It was not a "chill" as I remembered it the first time. We were there midweek on a thrusday night this time, the bar was about 1/2 full. We had a small table on the side, very nice. The service was excellent. We each had 2 drinks. My island old fashioned was very nice, interesting and good flavors. The Oaxacan old fashioned my wife had was excellent as well. I also had a glass of whiskey that was teriffic. The one drink that was a bit of a let down was the Tiki drink. Too much fluff, not enough finesse and unique flavors, also too sweet. The real disappointment was the noise level and music selection. If I'm in an intimiate whiskey bar speakeasy (Even the name implies low volume) then why is there rap music blasting. The music should be used to encourage conversation and intimacy among friends, not be so lound that you can't hear across a small table. Other than that, we had a nice time.

Very fun secret entrance to the bar. It’s like walking back in time to an old fashion elegant bar. Incredible and inventive drinks. No food but a relaxing atmosphere

Drinks are good but they’ll seat you at a pillar and call it table. Also they kick you out after 60 mins

Super dope place, felt like I was in Harry Potter entering a secret lair. Great spot to take a date and impress them

Atmosphere: 9/10
Located in a popular shopping mall area, easy to find and surprisingly immersive once inside. The space is vibrant, stylish, and dim, with a central backbar that’s well stocked and visually strong. Music volume is pleasant and works for conversation. Seating is a major plus here—plenty of bar seats and booths, making the room functional even when busy.

Drinks: 7.5/10
Recommendation: Island Old Fashioned, Ramos Gin Fizz
Menu is nicely designed, good material quality, and clearly indicates glass shapes. Drink selection is solid. Execution is hit or miss—some drinks land, others feel less sophisticated than expected. Coasters are provided. Glassware is average, garnish is basic, and overall presentation is normal.

Service: 6/10
Water is provided only on request. Team friendliness is average. Professionalism is good—the fact that the bar can execute a proper Ramos Gin Fizz (one of the clearest tests of classic cocktail technique) earns real credit. Attentiveness could be better. Reservations are recommended. Prices are slightly above average.

It's a top shelf alcohol vendor with a speak easy. It's pretty cool...actually VERY cool. You have to see it in person, words dont do justice for the detail and atmosphere. (No kids!)

Memorable night thanks to Ruben and the friendliest bar staff in SD. We met the nicest couple next to us and that's what I love about this bar.

Our neighbors Holly and Diego were friendly.

This is my son's first time at a real bar and I know he'll never forget it. I am so happy that I was able to be a part of it!

The recommended Torta Verde blew.our minds
