We came for a date night - sat outside which was really nice. The food is top shelf. We had the Mozzerlla, Squash blossom, sourdough and the pasta wheel mains with fresh truffle which they were very generous with. The only thing that put me off that people should know is that they add a 5% 'service fee' which I am not sure why thats there. IMO its taking more for no reason when they can just adjust prices to cover. May or may not go back for that alone. Not a fan of stores taking more when our dinner was $200 for food alone.

Amazing place with top notch service and perfect dishes. Our waiter, Kyle, was the perfect balance of attentiveness and professionalism. My cheese wheel shrimp fettuccini in vodka sauce was such a delicious treat, and my partners Pollo alla Romana was heaven on a plate. Will definitely be going back.

We had a great server, Paolo. We ordered the trio bruschetta and the loaf of bread for appetizers and they were more than enough for the whole meal. My husband said the bruschetta was one of the best he's eaten. Then, my husband ordered the ragu for his main meal. I ordered a special request of linguine with olive oil and parmesean cheese. Both meals were very delicious and there was so much we had to bring home enough for another meal on Monday! The pasta still was super flavorful even though it was only dressed with olive oil and parmesean cheese. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is our second time at Roman Wolves and it did not disappoint! Our waiter Lucca was so helpful and accommodating and made excellent recommendations. The food is outstanding and I would definitely recommend trying it if you haven't already! We loved the squash blossoms, gnocchi, and cheese wheel pasta! Yum! We will definitely be back.

Kyle was the best. Food was amazing. Best spot in little Italy and I've lived here 10 years.

We were greeted by Vincent and seated outdoors. Lovely and very attentive service. Food was delicious. I had the carbonara and friend had the seafood pasta and the arugula salad was delish. We had a complimentary tiramisu and limoncello and both were excellent and such a surprise! Very nice experience! Thank you!!

Don’t even bother trying to book a larger party or event here. We were having a great experience with Vince- fast communication, really accommodating, beautiful space, great food- everything we were looking for after deciding we wanted more than the place we original booked for our intimate wedding celebration dinner. We viewed the space, discussed space design plans and even picked out a menu with clear intentions that we were moving forward with Roman Wolves. So we were incredibly surprised and disappointed to have Vince ghost us unexpectedly despite last communication to expect a formal proposal sent over the following day. After reaching out via email, text message, the restaurant number for weeks, the most we got out of Vince when he didn’t leave us on read was lame excuses that didn’t add up until he stopped responded altogether. Don’t get stood up like we did, avoid the wasted time and unnecessary stress

The food and service was very good. They accommodated our large group on relatively short notice without any issues.

It was my second time coming to Roman Wolves, this time to celebrate my birthday. As always, the pasta was delicious. The cacio e pepe and carbonara are always a go to. This time we also got a half dozen oysters, the caesar salad, the cheese wheel pasta which was a short rib ragu, and the pollo all romana. All of which were delicious. Surprisingly the only thing I didn't love was the tiramisu that was brought out, it just felt a little oversaturated. Overall, I will definitely be coming back for the pastas!

Really unfortunate experience. First, we had a 4:30 reservation and the restaurant was empty. I noted it was my partner's birthday. We were seated in the worst table in the house, directly by the front entrance and next to the bar. The bar got exceedingly loud within 20 minutes. The music in the bar was like we were in a club in Ibiza. On my request we were moved to a better table. We ordered fried mozzarella and two pasta dishes: pappardelle bolognese and a short rib special. We also ordered two mocktails. Mocktails were great, as was the fried mozzarella. The pastas did not appear to be fresh, and in any event, were uninspiring. The service was odd. Our server was fairly attentive, but 30 minutes in, she was purportedly taking a break and someone else took over. What was odd: the server who was on “break” was there the whole time, working other tables. It appeared to be some sort of territorial thing with the other section. No need to lie about it. Given the experience, it was an absolute rip off. We paid $19 for NA mocktails. The total bill was $200. Despite me noting it was my partner's birthday, they didn't so much as mention it. There are a lot better ways to spend your money in San Diego.
