Room 56 Reviews
I always wait to post reviews until I've been to a place more than once. This place doesn't disappoint. The Bar Chemists are Masters of Craft Cocktailing. Ben & Frank are super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and untra creative. Room 56 is our new favorite hangout.

Room 56 is a hidden speakeasy-style bar inside the Moxy Hotel, accessed through a bookshelf entrance. Guests are advised to make reservations, as the place fills up quickly, and a minimum of $40 in drinks per person is required, gratuity included. The cozy and intimate atmosphere is enhanced by its limited space, creating a charming and somewhat romantic setting. Classic jazz music plays softly in the background, adding to the relaxed vibe.
The drinks at Room 56 are carefully crafted and beautifully presented, with options like Audrey's Backyard standing out. The bartenders are friendly and make great recommendations, making the experience more enjoyable. The "classics" are perfectly executed, and the Room 56 originals are just incredible. While drinks are around $20-22, they are creative and offer a unique twist on classic cocktails, such as Hop Skip Rum, which impresses with its complexity. Mocktail options are also available for those not drinking alcohol. The drinks are well crafted and beautifully decorated, adding to the elegant feel of the place.
Access to the speakeasy adds to its allure, with the entrance involving a walk upstairs and picking a red book from the bookshelf. The walk down spiral stairs enhances the whole vibe, making the visit memorable. The atmosphere is cool, with good vibes and a lively staff including Henry, Amy, and Ben, who are all very friendly. The bar sometimes offers conversation starter card games on tables, which add a fun touch to the experience. Although the place does not serve full food, there are minimal snack offerings, and there is a 2 drink minimum per person. Overall, Room 56 offers a special experience for those seeking a secret bar with excellent drinks and a cozy atmosphere.
