I've been on the hunt for a good Chicago Dog served with the proper style of fries so I could stop driving to Moreno Valley to go to Portillo's. I am very happy to report that my hunt is over. Rosati's gets everything right on their Chicago Dog. They don't split the ends, they don't use a toasted baguette instead of soft poppy seed bun, they have the right amount of celery salt, and the perfect flavor and shade Kryptonite Green relish! I tried Rosati's Mission Gorge Rd for the first time - outstanding meatball sandwich. Just moved back here from Pittsburgh where there are local pizza places with fantastic pizzas and sandwiches everywhere, I didn't expect to find a place here that would compare. I found it! This meatball sandwich was right on, giant meatballs that had to be cut down just to fit this sandwich in my mouth. Nice tang to the marinera sauce, and had it my style with black olives and jalapenos...

Everything with my order was fine. Flat bread pizza okay and pizza sauce well seasoned. Waiter was a bit sassy, but that works for me. Deep dish pizza our friends got, well that looked like a thin crust dough shaped in a deep dish pan. Needs improvement. No stinkin' Dodgers should be on the TV when the Padres are playin'! C'mon it's San Diego for crying out loud, not L.A.!
