RoVino Restaurant + Bar

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I must say, this restaurant is exceptional—not only for its delicious food, but also for its outstanding customer service. We had the opportunity to meet one of the owners, Rose, who was absolutely wonderful. She welcomed us with the warmth of family, despite it being our first time meeting her. Her passion for the restaurant and for great food was evident in every conversation.

Although we didn’t meet her husband, the chef, his talent shone through in every dish we tried. The Arancini and the Pesto Chicken Tortellini quickly became our favorites—both were unforgettable. Evan, the bartender, was also exceptional; the cocktails were fantastic, and he went above and beyond by kindly escorting me to the restroom, which is located outside the restaurant.

We had an amazing time at Rovino and truly enjoyed every part of the experience. It’s safe to say we’ll definitely be visiting again during our next trip to San Diego.

Excellent Bruschetta. The Chicken Parm and the Bolonese were not memorable. Odd restroom 150 feet away down the street...

My husband and I came here for dinner for a romantic night out. At first we were apprehensive of the indoor/outdoor restaurant but let me tell you... we were impressed by the food and service. The drinks were amazing. My husband got a delicious rosé and I got a bold red wine. We split the Caprese salad and chicken ravioli. Everything was perfection. For dessert we opted for the espresso martini versus traditional sweets. No regrets.

At first, I was unsure as I was looking for a romantic location for a dinner date. This place exceeded my expectations, offering excellent food, wine, and ambiance.

We discovered the restaurant on OpenTable and thought it sounded promising, so we decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised—it's a lovely, cozy spot. Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted by a friendly hostess who showed us to our table. Hungry and eager to start, we ordered the focaccia bread right away. It had just come out of the oven and was absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Marco, recommended a couple of dishes, and his suggestions did not disappoint. The rotisserie chicken with roasted vegetables was flavorful, and the pork Osso Buco was so perfectly cooked it fell off the bone. All the staff were polite and attentive throughout the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our night out and will definitely be returning with friends.

Excellent service, excellent food! Service was amazing and the chef tailored my husband tastes and removed cheese from the bolgnese sauces etc. When we come back to San Diego, we are going back to this amazing Italian restaurant. The appetizers and the soup was amazing and the pasta was delicious. I am 100 percent Italian and this was the real deal! Thank you for a great dinner.

This place was everything we hoped for and more. We were celebrating a birthday and they accommodated us for that. Good conversation and the food was amazing. Will definitely be back here.

Dinner was incredible. Evan was our server and he did a wonderful job. It felt like we were treated like family. A must visit if you’re in the area!

Chef Frank's prosciutto and pear flatbread was so fantastic that we ordered a second one to take home! We love a place where the Chef cares so much about the ingredients, the taste and presentation of his creations! The tortellini was the best I've had—will come back for it. My husband had the chicken Parmesan and thoroughly enjoyed it! Definitely recommend Rovino!

Wow….just Wow!!! This is the 2nd time I have been here. I traveled all the way from Las Vegas, NV to see the chef/owner again. I brought new friends and we all loved our dishes! I came back because I remembered how delicious the artichoke appetizer was!!!

I have so many food allergies and the Chef came out to speak to me again about my many friends of allergies. He’s amazing. I had GF focaccia bread, artichokes, and GF penne pasta with his amazing bolognese sauce! Sooooooo delicious!

All of my friends had their food and are still talking about how wonderful it was: lasagna, prosciutto flatbread, truffle flatbread, extra spicy chicken Alfredo, and my GF bolognese.

I can’t thank the chef enough for his individual care and concern for the dishes!!!

From start to finish such a delicious meal! The ingredients are so fresh and thoughtfully paired. I am gluten free and the attention to this was so nice.
