I've enjoyed Rubio's fish tacos and burritos for many years but today may be the last time I spend my money there. My fish burrito was mostly beans. It contained ONE piece of fish. For $11.99, I feel ripped off. Never again.

I love the whole story behind Rubio's, and I'm glad fish tacos were brought to us in San Diego years ago. We have Rubio's in NorCal where I live but it's not the same as when you are in a surf town lol. I only eat Rubio's down south. We ordered fish tacos for lunch to take back to our rented beach house in the boardwalk, and they were just delicious. I love the consistency of Rubio's fish tacos, you can always count on the flavor and even a fresh lime instead of a dried out lime. But I'm really here to say that the employees at this particular Rubio's are fantastic. They greeted me when I entered to pick up my order, and they honestly seemed pleased to have me there. They estimated the time of prep correctly on the app, and they were just finishing up my order. As she handed me my order, she reminded my of the salsa bar - thank goodness! I almost forgot! Extra limes, green salsa, chipotle salsa, and some jalapeños! I'm so glad she said something! As I left I looked over and before I could say thank you, she said thank you to me. Seriously, what a wonderful transaction. A male employee said to have a nice day. She even greeted regular customers by name, creating a personalized experience. The establishment is kept clean, and the self-serve salsa bar adds an enjoyable touch. Located just a few blocks from the beach, Rubios boasts a great location. Moreover, there is free parking available on the north side for patrons.However, it's important to be aware that the south side parking is pay parking, so exercise caution. Additionally, the restrooms could benefit from some attention.During our visit, I had a pleasant conversation with Patty about business. I shared with her that I used to manage the Point Loma location and started my journey with Rubios as a cashier in the SDSU area.
