This was my second time here and sadly it was disappointing. The food was pretty bland (sea bass and braised lamb dish). The cocktails we ordered when we sat down didn't come out until after our main course food. We had one person who was gluten free so wanted to order the meatball appetizer (only gluten free appetizer) but we were told it had bread crumbs and was miss marked on the menu. It wasn't a busy night at all for the restaurant so we were pretty disappointed...
I like Rustic Root. This review is strictly for the Thanksgiving take out prefix menu. The turkey, creamed corn & green beans were gross. The best thing was the biscuit & mashed potatoes & gravy. The side portions were small. I ended up making more mashed potatoes, mac & cheese & ribs because we did not like the food. We could have skipped this since I ended up cooking anyway. I would not order again.
Food was solid. Good range of options on the menu. It was pretty loud and busy (which is good). Lots of convention type activity. Overall - service was efficient and attentive. Definitely a good spot
