If you like a good traditional chicken pot pie you must try this place. Bee. Around for 86 years and always crowded so you know what that means. Take out always a plus.

Kid-friendliness: Have a kids menu and the portions on it were HUGE. Lots of space inside and kid friendly. Servers knew to bring the kids food first and let the kids order themselves. Booths were helpful for kids as well.

The food needed more flavor. I tasted the chicken pot pie. It didn't have no gravy inside. It was kind of dry and had no seasoning

Very generous with their servings. The food is very satisfying. The service was excellent. They went above and beyond. I definitely plan on making a return to try some more of their pie. I also appreciated the old-school style of this place. Truly iconic.

The service is the issue here. They are quick, but that is about it. The food is not bad, the pot pie is really good very basic in a good way. Next time, it will be to go.

Our family has enjoyed the Chicken Pie Shop since the 1950s when it was still in the Hillcrest community. The food is still delicious. It is fresh, hot, and plentiful. This time, we got our meals to-go. It stayed good and hot on the drive home to Poway from North Park. It's the very definition of comfort food. There's a separate ordering counter for take-out. The staff was very friendly and they were FAST! I don't think we even waited five minutes...maybe closer to three minutes. Nice and clean inside, at least the part we saw, since we didn't go into the dining area. Love it!
