San Idli is by far my favorite South Indian/Indo-Chinese cuisine in all of San Diego. Between the staff and food I could not tell you which was more warm and welcoming. Run do not walk to this spot.

If you are looking for authentic South Indian comfort food, this is the absolute best spot. The idli is incredibly soft, the dosas are perfectly crisp, and the vada is fantastic. Everything paired perfectly with their fresh chutneys and sambar. I highly recommend it to anyone craving a top-tier vegetarian meal!
This place is amazing, everything is fresh and the service is so friendly and amazing, the atmosphere is so welcoming and everyone there is happy. The food arrived quickly and is delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant to vegetarians.

We went to San Idli for lunch and this was overall our experience. The restaurant was packed at this time and the staff helped us get a table that seated all of us. All food came on time, except the thali was really delayed. Staff was very kind and made it more enjoyable. Atmosphere has a very traditional vibe. Overall, San Idli was a good experience.
