Best South Indian Vegetarian food. I tried thank and it was great. My friends tried other dishes and everything tasted authentic. The filter coffee smelled amazing and tasted great, the smell reminded me of the Indian railways chai that has a distinct flavor. This place brought back a lot of memories. They have my best recommendation!

I was really looking forward to visiting San Idli during my trip to San Diego, as I'd heard it was a great spot for South Indian food. Unfortunately, my experience was pretty disappointing.
When I arrived, it was clear they were busy preparing for a large catering service. This meant the regular menu was severely limited to just two items. While the staff was trying to be accommodating, the lack of options was a real letdown.

My mom took me to San Idli for their special Ganesha Chaturthi thali, and it was absolutely amazing! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced with just the right balance of curries. One of the best lunches I’ve ever had!
