Have been coming to Sapporos for 24 years! Such a wonderful family owned and operated restaurant! The sushi is always amazing and their staff are wonderful! My favorites are the spicy hamachi, Tomato, and Garlic Albacore Roll! Love their salmon and hamachi sashimi ! Don’t eat sushi? Many dishes to chose from! Great Yaki Soba!

Wow I love this place. it's so convenient, right in the heart of OB and it's like a 90 second walk from the beach. The staff is very friendly and always entertaining you and making you feel at home. Out of all the sushi restaurants in OB that I've tried, their fish at Sapporo is the most fresh and has better flavor. Try the tomato roll or the joe roll, those are my favorites. I also love their ginger pork, it's a big portion so there's always lots of leftovers too! Served with rice and it's so addictive. I gotta go back soon for sure.

As an OB local, I frequent Sapporo at least once a week. I sit at the bar and am always greeted and well cared for. I love the Salmon Salmon roll and if I am ordering off of the menu, I go for the tonkatsu or for their steak special (it's a local secret and i'll not divulge which night it's on because they run out). As soon as this quarantine lifts, I will be right back at the bar with my Cabernet and a fat, juicy steak with a side of rice and Japanese potato salad.

Sapporo continues to win polls for best sushi for several years in a row because it is the best. I also love their other Japanese dishes. My favorite is the chicken teriyaki combo plate. This is a family run business and has been in OB for 20 plus years. The interior is charming and the exterior looks great with new paint and a wonderful new mural of a Japanese woman. I've been a regular customer for most of those years.
Randomly wanted sushi. Since we recently moved, we used Yelp to locate options. We decided to try this place out. What a great surprise! The jalepeno appetizer was delicious and the rolls we ordered too. We'll definitely be back.

As someone who really enjoys going to different buffets in every town that I visit, I couldn't wait to explore some of the restaurants around the Inland Empire. Sapporo was the first place I visited, and boy was I not disappointed. As far as affordable Chinese-American buffets go, this place is very solid. Definitely the top spot I have visited in the North of San Diego county, and East of Los Angeles. With that said, its not only their Sushi and other traditional seafood that really sets them apart, but their selection of hot dishes like roast duck, orange chicken, and beef / ribs. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you are NOT looking for just sea food.
