The food was fine. Nothing world famous about the fish and chips. The non alcoholic drinks were not advertised on the menu, and the waitress didn't seem to know what they had for non-alcoholic drinks.The restaurant was so dark I had to read the menu using my phone flashlight.

Parking: The parking lot is at a severe angle, and if you don't have an SUV or truck, I would advise parking on the street in the paid parking.
Have been coming here when in SD for over 10 years, but haven't been since COVID. Sadly, the quality just isn't the same now. The batter on my fish & chips was missing both seasoning & the baking powder that makes the batter lighter & airier than the tough, tasteless fried dough I was served. Had to add several dousings of vinegar to soften it up, & eventually just pulled the heavy coating off & ate the cod. The banger & mash pasty was 90% mashed...
Ya know when you’re so excited to eat at a restaurant and you get there and, well, meh

Unfortunately for Shakespeare Pub I’m British and I love British food so I know what it’s supposed to taste and feel like and this wasn’t it.

Chips were not only cold but hard at the ends, peas were not mushy ( but I might have missed something in the ordering there.) The meat in the steak and ale pie was good and flavorful though.
