Everything about this place was so good ! The service was amazing host and waitresses explain and walk you through everything so you can have a good experience. Meats were very good quality and affordable . Went here for date night and we were not disappointed. Great place to bring friends and family . We ordered the two soup option , beef combo and veggie combo and some pork belly . Super worth it !

If it's your first like it was mine and you are not from an Asian culture, be ready to be dumb founded. It was very hard to figure out how to order food here but thank god for the lady who runs the place she stepped in and helped figuring that part outParking: Very hard, it's a shared lot with other businesses, so if you don't want to wait, park far on the street and walk

In general, a good hotpot place. Food were fresh, soups were good. I like their appetizers stations. If there is any complaints, I would say that their price is a little on the high side.

So far one of my favorite hot pot places in convoy. There are a lot popping up in the area now, so I think it's important to have a solid spot. They have great flavored broths, and if you love spicy food then you will LOVE their spicy broths. It is not for the weak. But if you can handle it, it's perfect for a really cold night and has lots of flavor. Everything is ordered on the menu. It's not AYCE. The service is good and they're all kind. Everyone seems to speak Mandarin and English. The cold bar/sauce bar has some side dishes and desserts. They also have everything for you to make the perfect sauce for your hot pot dipping. Again, this is just a really solid Chinese style hot pot place in the middle of convoy.

Really like this hotpot place! Everything we had was very fresh, the broths are tasty, the service is good, the sauce station is pretty well stocked and I like that they offer some snacks by the sauce area too.One warning, you know how a lot of places list something as spicy but turns out it's not spicy at all. The spicy beef here is thickly coated in chilli flakes and it's actually quite spicy lol so if you like spicy - try that but avoid it if you don't eat too much spice.

Honestly, best Chinese hot pot place in SD. The decor is very aesthetic and way better priced than Hai Di Lao imo. Beware of their spice level, their mild is basically a medium in other places! Only thing that was negative was probably their service. We were seated in the back in the corner so somewhat ignored and our water running empty and unfortunately they don't have bell for you to ring to get the wait staff.

Went on a Friday night around 9pm, got seated and ordered and then they came back and told us they were doing last call already. Ordered half regular and half MILD soup and omg it was % NOT mild. There were sooo many peppers that no matter how we tried to avoid it, atleast 4-5 each time we brought up the ladle. I asked them if they may have made a mistake and the server was not super nice about it and when I asked if they could atleast put some plain broth in to even it out, he said they don't do that. Felt pretty disrespected and like a sissy but I KNOW it was NOT MILD!! Everyone was choking just by breathing in the soup. It was not enjoyable or even tasty at that point and I am MISERABLE today (Saturday) and my stomach/GI system as a whole is killing me from the food last night. There were only 2 other tables and it was not busy and there were plenty of servers but subpar customer service. Most Asian restaurants, particularly in this area really pride themselves on making sure all needs are met for their customers and don't rush you out the door before closing time. I would not be back again.

This place has quickly become one of my family and I's favorite hotpot places. The meat is fresh and I highly recommend the shrimp paste. We love the little snack bar they have with a variety of little snacks that we ate growing up. The service is also prompt and they're very helpful. 谢谢!

This place was the best hot pot place I've had in San Diego. Definitely exceeded my expectations. My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time and we were so happy. The meat quality was amazing according to my BF (Im a vegetarian) He Definitely recommended the beef and lamb combo. The spicy beef was good but be warned, it is extremely spicy, so not for the weak. Great service, very fast and delicious.

Shancheng Lameizi has become my go-to spot for hot pot cravings, and I'm thrilled to finally share my thoughts. The variety of food options here is impressive - our usual pick is a combo of half mild and half regular soup. The mild heat level is perfect for us; any hotter, and I fear my taste buds might miss the party. Every visit leaves us thoroughly satisfied. The customer service is top-notch, earning a solid two thumbs up, and the food is nothing short of fantastic! Don't miss the mini bar where you can craft your own sauce or indulge in appetizers and desserts. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed!

First time having hot pot. We had difficulty ordering and the waiter wasn't helpful in explaining how to order. We were very hungry and ultimately weren't sure what we ordered. The soup was good however the bowls were tiny and I had to ask the waiter to turn off the soup as it continued to boil for half an hour after the shrimp and pot belly cooked. It was quite an experience. I scalded my mouth and burned my hands several times trying to refill the tiny bowls. Nothing like burning your mouth with spicy chile soup. I should have taken someone who has experience with hot pot. I'm sure there are many delicious choices and it was my fault for going at it alone the first time.
