My wife and I recently stayed at the Sheraton Hotel and were pleasantly surprised by the hotel bar. The service provided by Precilla was outstanding—she really made us feel welcome and attended to our needs with a smile. The prices are reasonable, and the food exceeded our expectations; everything we tried was excellent. I highly recommend stopping by the bar during your stay for a fantastic experience!

They no longer have karaoke, looked like a nice place though.
Great and friendly staff, nice room, very nice garden and nice location.Room service was incredibly fast both times I ordered. Very restful and zen grounds. I would stay again. I was very comfortable.
Previous reviews of this hotel made me leery of staying here. But the pictures of their courtyard area were so nice that I decided to give it a try. And it was great! The front desk guy was welcoming & efficient. The room was clean & reasonably large. The bathroom was pretty small, but it had a new-looking walk-in shower, which was a bonus. There were a microwave & a small fridge. (Only the microwave was mentioned in the app's description.) And yes, the courtyard was fabulous! There is a big pool (not olympic size, but it would be ok for laps) and a large hottub area. Outside of the pool area was a koi pond with a small bridge & waterfall. The landscaping was lovely; everything was green & lush. The fitness center was pretty fabulous - lots of cardio, some weight machines & extras like mats & medicine balls & those big puffy workout balls. To my surprise, they had neither a spin-type bike nor a rowing machine. They did have a couple physical therapy-type bikes, but it's hard to get a real workout on those. This location does charge for parking, but it is very easy to park for free on the adjacent street or nearby shopping center. That shopping center was a bonus - it had a CVS, a Whole Foods, and several places to eat. There is a gate in the back of the hotel fence that leads directly into the shopping center, so that was super convenient. We would definitely stay here again!
While staying a couple of nights in LaJolla, we selected this hotel to stay at. Checking in was great! The lady who checked me in was very helpful and pleasant. She recognized my level of Bonvoy membership, even though I booked through a third-party. I found this important because lately the front desk folks at Marriotts have been curt and not providing any of the Bonvoy perks that I’m entitled too, whether I book through Marriott or a third-party, so I’ve given up booking through Marriott to collect points that are so much more valuable from American Airlines Hotels booking site. The property is nicely laid out – quite large, you need to park close to your room, as the rooms and buildings are stretched out over several acres. There’s a large pool in the center courtyard, with a hot tub and water fall with a stream that rolls thru the middle. There’s a gym and concierge lounge off the middle courtyard too. The staff was all very helpful and friendly. The concierge attendant was very helpful, seeing me trying to carry to a couple cups of coffee and a plate of food, he offered me a drink carrier. They have evening snacks and breakfast and their breakfast is legit, good food ;real eggs and incredible bacon! Housekeeping was helpful and did a good job keeping up with the room. Bed was comfy and the TV worked great. Shower temp was great, so was the drain in the shower. The only issue was the pool and hot tub… I wanted to use it, but the scum line in the pool clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, as it was stained dark and there was junk floating in the pool. Same with the hot tub, it really needed to be skimmed. But those small issues aside, our stay here was great!
Nice and cozy. Food came from the restaurant - yum!

the hotel is older and is in need of a renovation. The room was clean, spacious, had a fridge and microwave. The grounds are quite nice and the ground staff work hard to keep them looking that way. it is close to the freeway and the room I had backed onto a small shopping mall so there was delivery lorries and garbage truck early in the morning with some background noise. The restaurant decor is a bit 1980’s and the bar badly needs remodelling. All the staff were great though.
Extremely over priced for a 2 star place with bad parking (have to pay an extra $27 a night in a side lot or park down the hill and hope your car doesn't get broken into, bad pillows, small pool, and poor service (had to wait over an hour for our room to be ready)...Big avoid.
Shooter’s has recently changed the menu and we are enjoying the new dishes. They have some new unique dishes and we have tried them all; the only thing that would make it better would be to offer a few different soups. I love the filet mignon and the Taste of San Diego. My husband loves the burgers. We go there every Saturday and Sunday for dinner, drinks, singing and dancing and we LOVE Woo's Karaoke.Woo’s Karaoke is the best, with great regulars and fun guests. Woo puts on a great show and there are great singers. The crowd is like one big happy family!I have met several visitors that stay at this Marriott/Sheraton in LaJolla every time they visit San Diego because they love Saturday and Sunday evenings. They join us and dance all night listening to the standards, Motown, Disco, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, country and everything in between. I have met local LaJolla families that go to have dinner, drinks and a great show. Woo makes it fun and everyone has a great evening.Shooter’s has THE best singing bartender in the country! Afton makes fabulous drinks and can sing while mixing, pouring and serving!I love their desserts, too!
Vegetarian options: Great salads and they always have fresh vegetables prepared.I love the fresh fruits and the berries bowl.
Kid-friendliness: Kids that stay the hotel seem to enjoy the kids menu.
Parking: We always park in the lots.
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible
Dietary restrictions: For people that have to watch their food intake, they will grill chicken or seafood. They will prepare it to order with delicious, fresh food.

Yes the hotel is older but our family didn’t have complaints. One of the few pet friendly hotels in La Jolla area near UCSD. Our room was clean, spacious, had a fridge and microwave. The grounds are pretty - bummed we didn’t have the chance to use the pool. Although it is close to the freeway we didn’t have any issues with noise.

I was there because of Karaoke. Food is good. The waitress is kind, but karaoke did not havesome songs, which I wanted to sing.
Good: Clean room, basic but well-furnished, comfy bed, extra pillows requested were waiting for us. Lovely garden view from the room…the scent of Star Jasmine everywhere outside, charming little koi pond. Friendly and professional staff. There is an elevator on one end of the building, but they failed to inform us of that, so we carried ours up the stairs. ? Bad: $27/night parking fee, of which we were not informed until check-in. If you want to charge more for a room, do it, don’t gouge us with parking fees. A small pot of coffee from room service was $33 each morning . We are used to getting a complimentary breakfast from Marriott/Sheraton properties, but this one does not provide it. The pool - full of very young grade school aged kids, who we were sure were peeing in it, so we didn’t go. The spa had three toddlers in pampers in it, which is not only unsafe for the toddlers, but unsanitary for everyone else. WE WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN.
It's a run down hotel that somehow charges above its weight. But if you need the location, it seems to be the only game in town. The lobby is nice. The staff is very nice. But the rooms are dated. The halls are dated. The food in the neighborhood is fantastic.
The hotel is comfortable enough, but at this price woudl expect a lot more. The customer service was mediocre and most worryingly I just noticed that even though my stay was organised by the company I was working for the Sheraton has charged my credit card in an unauthorised way and it is now very hard from abroad to even know how to get this back.
this is an OK hotel, but not up to Marriott quality. the beds are new and great. The "renovated rooms" were out of the 1990s (the decor and the carpeting, and the hotel is made up of 6 or so separate buildings. That may be OK in normal SD weather, but if it is raining and cool, the arrangement is not great. also, the lobby is small and the drive to get to registration is very tight. finally, I registered on the Marriott website for a garden view room (for ~$10 extra per night). But I was given what the front desk described as a much better view, the view of the apartments and shopping center behind the hotel. there are better choices in La Jolla for the same or less money.
