I called to leave a VM, and the line dropped in the middle.
I placed a new order on DoorDash, and they called to tell me they need to recollect payment for the original order that was canceled. They then said to keep the DoorDash order active instead, placing me on hold to double check something- then the line disconnected on me.
I called them back, and they said they will be canceling my DoorDash order because they aren't taking any online orders today, which is frustrating because I placed my original order a week ago.
Lastly, they never canceled my DoorDash order, so I held out hope, but it just sat there permanently waiting confirmation even though they're open and originally took my order.
I simultaneously ordered a BEAUTIFUL cake from Desserts by Clement that never canceled on me, but now we have a vegan colleague who will be missing out on birthday celebrations which feels like a major bummer to me š„š¢.
I put in so much effort to find this place with a renowned, vegan red velvet cupcake, but I am just left with disappointment. I'd like to give the staff the benefit of the doubt, but it's difficult to understand what the various hold ups could be.
Since I never got to try their desserts, don't stop yourselves from checking it out, but I would be very cautious about preordering anything to avoid the headaches I went through.

Cupcakes are overpriced. Decorations on top arenāt very appealing/ unique. Wouldnāt have again, if you donāt eat the same day they dry out.

Their vegan cupcake is legit disgusting. It tastes like youāre eating oil and is super dense. Go to Whole Foods and get a pack of vegan cupcakes. 10x better.

They have the best cupcakes ever. It is a little more than what Iād like to pay for cupcakes, but itās definitely worth it. The red velvet is my favorite and the frosting they use is delicious. Itās not too sweet or overbearing like other buttercream frostings that Iāve had. Itās just right. I would definitely recommend you stop and check them out if your in the area. I do wish they had more locations

I wish i wouldve caught her name but i forgot but I ordered some cupcakes for a friend and forgot to attach the note...the sweet girl at the shop went out of the way to include a note in my cupcakes and it made all the difference in the world. She secured a SD Sprinkles fan for sure! Not to mention the cupcakes are always great!

They keep changing the ingredients in the dark chocolate cupcake, and itās honestly awful now! Completely disgusting. Theyāre using cheap ingredients for the fudge, and it shows. It sucks! Bring back the original recipe! Iāve had Sprinkles in New York multiple times and now here in La Jolla ā and La Jolla is clearly using low-quality, cheap ingredients. You think we wonāt notice, but we absolutely do.

This is an actual sprinkles location. It was nice to see the menu and all of the seasonal and various flavored cupcakes they have. Staff is very nice and helpful.
Lemon Bar - one of the greats! The lemon curd runs like lava onto the center of the cupcake as you dip in with your fork, or bite. The frosting is lemony and the bar crust is at the bottom. So good. šš§

The people working there are always so great, I had a problem accessing my free bday cupcake online and they took care of it in person. Their gluten-free red velvet is the best! And I love that they're having more gluten-free options too. They have the cutest Irish coffee green frosting cupcakes right now for Saint Patrick's Day.
