Walked five minutes from our Marriott Vacation Club San Diego.
Good old Irish Pub. Food is what I enjoyed. The fish and chips were great. Breading was light with great portions of Cod.

Feels like an English pub, great service and nice food. Bit of an odd smell in the bar.

The Irish fare is great and there are several American dishes and sandwiches as well

Our party had the;

All were served hot and delicious!

My husband and I stop by for drinks every now and then because the vibe here is great. We decided to get food this time! So glad we did. The food is amazing. The Bartender Brian is even more amazing than the food. Always so nice and gets the drinks fast. He even was nice enough to add some strawberry purée to my margarita for me. It’s our new favorite place and we will be going more often! Thank you Brian for being awesome!!

Service was awesome! Had a nice spot on the front patio and hung out for several hours. Server made sure we were good with drinks often.
Our some had a reuben and shared it with us, it was delicious!
Check it out when you’re in downtown San Diego.

Irish Hockey Bar

My favorite hockey bar in San Diego. Decent burger, and fries. Also a decent shepherds pie. Good Guinness.

Parking: This block is tough. Fairly inexpensive garage next door, for Gaslamp, I have been told.

Kid-friendliness: Please don’t…

Wheelchair accessibility: Good. Lot’s of room on street level.

I’ve been going to Stout for a couple of years now - lunch, dinner, meeting a friend for drinks, or sometimes just to watch the hockey game.

The services is always good, the food is great, and it has reasonable prices even considering the enormous inflation San Diego has experienced over the last few years. I’d highly recommend it.

I believe they also have a board game night or something of the sort. Also, there’s outdoor seating and abundant parking options around.

Oof.
It’s rough, y’all. They have decent beer, and people are friendly. However, the food is atrocious; I couldn’t finish the chicken they fried, it was straight up burnt/stringy/dry. The French fries were very okay; clearly whoever is cooking likes things well done, which I can appreciate to a certain degree with steak fries. My partner ordered the Ruben, which came with cheddar on it (not Swiss like the menu said); it was not tasty.

The lady who works there is very friendly, but would kind of sneak up on us to check in; which was funny but did feel slightly invasive?
Go here if you are looking for a dive bar; do not order food unless you’ve had enough to drink that the taste/texture of food doesn’t really matter.

Bartender Brian was rad, really nice and attentive! The atmosphere was cool but a little dingy. Overall, it was a cool spot and I would go back.

I love this bar! San Diego's go-to hockey bar - but it's also just good beers and good vibes. I recommend the Wings ;) (hockey team and food item)

First a pub and the atmosphere is pub-like--duh. But much more importantly food is GREAT. We split a ruben--it was huge and GOOD. Side of fries came out so quick too hot to eat initially. Owner took great care of my wife and I. If I understood correctly he's owned the place for what 20-30 years. The place was spotless.
