Submarina California Subs Rancho Bernardo

Never been to a Submarina with terrible customer service until today. Spent $81 on 6 sandwiches, 4 chips, and 2 drinks, which is a complete waste of money when you’re treated like garbage. Due to a food allergy to avocado on one of the sandwiches (and not able to let them know quick enough) as one guy was taking my order and slicing meats and cheeses, and a girl was preparing the sandwiches, the girl clearly copped an attitude when I let her know about the food allergy. I immediately apologized for not letting her know “soon enough” to omit the avocado. My bad, I apologized, but to have such a terrible attitude and start throwing stuff around…that’s totally unacceptable. Absolutely ridiculous in fact! The cashier (possible manager) did not have much better of an attitude. Didn’t say one word to me, no thank you, nothing. What ever happened to genuine customer service?!?! Won’t be going back to this Submarina. I’ll happily spend my money elsewhere next time.

a peppered cali from here would be my death row meal. really nice staff, good variety, and always consistent.

Been going to this location for years. Fresh ingredients and great selection of sandwiches. Highly recommend the Santa Fe.

This is my favorite sandwich shop, everything is fresh, the staff are very easy going and friendly. I was going to the one in Poway for many years, I was devastated when they closed down, then someone told me there was one opening in Rancho Bernardo, and I couldn’t get there fast enough. The same delicious sandwich I remembered.

Best subs every. Real submarine rolls which really make a difference. Fresh vegetables and meat sliced as its made.
Recommend you stop. You'll be back for more.

The best sandwich I’ve found in San Diego. Get the peppered club! So good. Everything looks and tastes super fresh. All the staff are cheerful and friendly. Restaurant is generally clean and well-maintained.

In town visiting and decided to stop by...the sandwich was 5/5 and the customer service was fantastic! I told them it was my first time and one of the staff recommended her favorites. I went with the Santa Fe and it was delicious! Would definitely eat here again!

Really nice sandwich, good balance of fillings, veggies, and sauce. Quick pickup and recognized that I was waiting in line for pickup, saved me a few minutes by handing me the sandwich instead of waiting for the rest of the line to be served.
