Not being a vegetarian, the food was surprisingly good. The service was excellent.

Great taco, my favorite ones are the Veggie and Baja, their sauces are great. I loved their Pineapple Agua Fresca. Extremely friendly staff and has parking too!

Every time I come in here, I wonder why I don't come more often. (Possibly the atmosphere, it's clean but not the coziest. No music or TV, not much to look at.) But the food, wow! I always get three different tacos, they're all loaded with such amazing flavors and textures. The fresh salsas are also spectacular. I need to start making this a weekly visit.

So far best vegan vegetarian Mexican food spot around! We are locals of Los Angeles and try new flavors vegan and vegetarian.. Tacotarian brings great flavors in their sauces.. using spices that keep the authentic flavors in a plant based diet! Spot is located in a on the go spot in North Park! Beans , rice, sauces, on point! We enjoyed the taco plate and enchilada plate!

I went there for comedy show, and didn't eat, so I can't rate the food. But they have some of the best margaritas that I've had in a long time. I'd just go for the margaritas, but my friends said the tacos were excellent as well. So, I just might have to go in and be vegetarian or vegan for a night.

I use to eat vegetarian food for years and Tacotarian is a spot I love. Their food is affordable and delicious. They have street parking which you pay for if you go before 6PM. There is ample seating. It’s simple…but delicious. I recommend the Barbacoa and mushroom taco.

Stopped in Tacotarian today for the first time and tried a few of their tacos, I highly recommend their Plantain Mole taco, super delicious and flavorful. I think three tacos is the right amount for lunch. The chips and salsa was good too, the salsa was especially delicious. Service was very attentive. I’ll definitely be back.

Some of the best vegan food I have had! So many options; staff was incredibly kind and helped us decide what to get off the menu. We had non vegans in our group who absolutely loved their food too. I come here anytime I am in San Diego!

Had a pretty enjoyable meal.
Of the three tacos, my partner enjoyed the Baja while I favored the Chorizo.
The Takis Elote wasn't either of our favorites. A little spicy for him, a little... Wet... For me.
The crunch wrap was MUCH bigger than we expected. We honestly didn't need all three tacos and the appetizers with it. Maybe a that plus a taco each. Or a taco and an appetizer. Pretty filling. Definitely get some salsa/hot sauce to top it with.
Partner liked his margarita. My horchata was a bit on the sweet side for me.
Overall, very delicious meal!

Dear Tacotarian Management,
I’m writing this message out of complete frustration and disappointment after what can only be described as an unacceptable experience at your restaurant.
From the moment I walked in, I was met with unnecessary attitude and hostility from the front counter staff. I was rushed through my order for no apparent reason there was no line, no pressure just impatience and attitude from your employee. When I asked if I could modify my food (as I’ve done at countless restaurants before), I was told no — not due to policy, but because “the chef wouldn’t like that.” I’m sorry, but since when does a paying customer’s request get denied to protect a chef’s ego?
That alone was enough to irritate me, but things got worse. I had brought in a small order of McDonald’s fries for my young son, who is a picky eater and refuses to eat fries from anywhere else. We’ve brought his fries before without issue, as we always come to your restaurant to support it as a family. Today, however, an employee approached us in the middle of our meal and bluntly told me I couldn’t bring outside food and not just that; he added that the customers and the chef wouldn’t appreciate seeing McDonald’s fries in a vegan restaurant.
Let me be extremely clear: the way this was handled was completely out of line. That comment was unnecessary, condescending, and honestly humiliating. My son was visibly embarrassed and hurt. He didn’t even want to eat after being made to feel like he didn’t belong. As a mother, watching him go from excited to defeated in a matter of seconds was infuriating.
We were there to support your business, and instead, we were made to feel judged and unwelcome. The tone, the delivery, and the sheer lack of compassion from your staff were unacceptable. Families and especially children should never feel unwelcome or embarrassed in a place of business.
