Outstanding craft coffee shop, as in actual craft coffee not masquerading as such. Absolutely delicious cappuccino and iced lattes! James is one of two real players in the coffee game in San Diego (the other being Provecho!)

James Coffee Co. is a popular spot for coffee lovers. The coffee sodas are a highlight, offering a gourmet espresso taste with an energy drink-like buzz. The building itself is cool, with a balcony overlooking 30th St. The staff provides genuine service, learning regulars' names and offering excellent customer care. Customers appreciate the great espresso and pastries, as well as the relaxed atmosphere that makes it a perfect place to meet friends, work on a computer, or read while enjoying the neighborhood’s fresh air. The shop has both indoor and outdoor seating, creating a comfortable environment. While parking can be tricky and the shop does not carry non-fat milk, the overall experience remains fantastic. The merchandise and bagged beans are also a nice way to take some of the experience home.
