Ive had ramen from Tajima about a dozen times since they opened. I would say they have the 5th-6th best ramen in San Diego. It’s not mind blowing but decent if you can’t get to the other good spots. Atmosphere is great with moody lighting, tables, and counters. Service can be hit or miss.

I've rated various ramen-ya in San Diego, and this is the closest I've found so far to what you might find in Japan (I lived there two years and have visited a half dozen other times). We also had the vegetable gyoza, which were also respectable. Would return. One obvious difference from Japan, there is very low salt in the tonkatsu broth, and you can (should?) salt it to taste. There is a jar of sea salt flakes on the table. Pork is a bit different, but good. Overall,...

I always have a great experience here. The creamy chicken ramen is my favorite. The service is always awesome and the food comes out fast!
