Too much maza not enough salsa and meat. Chicken was dry tasted old or something. She's got good spice and everything but just way too little of the salsa....

For last 2 years my wife and I have been going to this place to get Tamales for Christmas Eve. We get there early Christmas Eve morning around 6am. We usually get about 60 to 100 tamales. Each Tamale is $2.50. They have Cheese, Pork, Chicken, And Raja. I've tried them all and they are delicious.

This place isn't too bad, it's a little cart with tamales inside and they have a jug of champurrado which is hit and miss, it is tasty when they get it right though. And they take cash only

We tried six different tamales and they were all really good. Never had pineapple tamale and my husband and I both really like it. I would definitely stop here again.

I do not eat tamales or leave a yelp review often, but when I do it is because it is worth sharing it with others. Tamales Oaxaquenos is a gem. Their tamales are prepared with generous servings of meat and anything with the salsa verde is delicious (the pork is my favorite). They have a wide variety of choices including pineapple (I haven't tried this one yet). They also serve empanadas Mon-Fri. These are equally as good and different from other tamale spots.

Big, generous tamales wrapped in banana leaves, steamed, and delicious. I had the chicken mole, a rare treat. It had a little heat and spice, tender chicken, riquísima. The man who runs the cart seems is kind and patient without my morning scatterbrainedness buying the tamales while trying to figure out the bus on my phone. I hope he makes its of money in our neighborhood and sticks around. The cart is the best addition in years.
