Tapas & Beers is a wonderful, small restaurant serving excellent food from a varied menu. The owners are delightful. The butternut squash soup tastes like dessert! The freshly baked mini baguette comes hot, straight from the oven. We have eaten the pasta dishes and sandwiches. All are excellent. We highly recommend dinner here if you are in the area, especially for a performance at the San Diego Civic Theater, Jacob's Symphony Hall, or the Balboa Theater.
Amazing host/owners!!! The food is incredible! A must try for anyone going to downtown!!! Great place to have dinner before the shows/theater in downtown San Diego. Just a couple blocks away from the Civic Center and-or Balboa Theater. Highly recommend! You will leave with an amazing experience and tummy full!!
We ordered take out from here and the food was ready right on time. The staff was polite and kind and we are happy they were open on New Year’s Eve. Nice option if you are staying at the Westin gas lamp quarters for a quick bite! I ordered the burger and it was a bit well done for me, and the strawberry cheesecake for desert. I wasn’t a fan of the cheesecake being baked or charred on the top as this is how it’s made in France. A lot fo French options if that’s your cup...
