After years of hoping to catch my moment to dine here, it finally happened and it was so worth the wait! The food was truly amazing, obviously made with love and attention and was served by the sweetest woman ever. Thank you for giving us a new memory in Hillcrest, we will be back soon to try new treasures from Denmark!

Loved the food here. Both the hot dog and fresh juice were delicious but my favourite was the 3 open sandwich dish. The owner was so lovely and clearly puts a lot of care into her food.

Food lovers, Taste of Denmark is a restaurant that's hard to beat. Every bite is packed with flavor—some intense, like the pickled herring open-faced sandwich, and some mild, like the meatball plate. The menu isn't huge, but I was told they make almost everything from scratch, and it really shows. They know the kitchen and the cuisine inside and out, and every bite is perfection. On top of that, it's affordable, and the service is both genuine and excellent. If you haven't already, add this restaurant to your San Diego bucket list—it's a must-try, right up there with Mexican cuisine.

An absolute GEM! Belles Beach House is delightful in every possible way. Marvelous and interesting menu, splendid preparation and presentation, wonderfully and gleefully served. Indoor? Outdoor? Either or both are delightful! The food! Each dish (and even the "dishes" are darling!) is a culinary delight, and the service is personal and attentive. Indeed, everything is personal and attentive. Clever decor, inside and out from planters on the rail to colorful flags to artfully designed, well, "everything!" Oh, my. We were feted with myriad offerings, and every one of them was superb. It's a pity we don't live closer, but knowing the wonderment of Belle's Beach House and the folks who operate it will certainly bring us back as soon as we possibly can - and the sooner the better!

So happy to have a Danish restaurant in San Diego. Food was amazing, just like mormor used to make! Absolutely delicious rye bread, wish I could have eaten everything on the menu.

My danish friend and I were visiting the area and decided to give this place a try. What a terrific experience we had!! Super attentive, friendly and efficient service. The food was DELICIOUS!! They even gave us an extra treat to try at the end of our lunch, it was a delicious apple danish. Love love love it and can’t wait to come back!

Ate here few weeks ago and just now remembering to leave a review! The food was exceptional and it is run by very friendly people who are eager for you to enjoy the best dining experience possible. Like, they actually care. That is a rare find these days and for that alone, I would give 5 stars, but like I said, the food was exceptional :-)

If you’re craving Danish Rye bread or have always wondered what Danes eat, this is the place for you. The menu is reasonably priced, food made with care, and both the indoor and outdoor space are lovely.

Service is top notch. I am also blown away by a really decent $3 mimosa!

Come here and bring your friends.

I went for the first time today after walking by for months and was not disappointed! We were warmly greeted and given plenty of insight on what the dishes and crowd favorites were. The rye bread is absolutely delicious and the portions were perfect. The tartlet was very tasty as was the sausage. I appreciate being told more about Denmark, and learning what the summer favorites are and trying something new! The rødgrød med fløde was the perfect sweet dessert for a hot summer day. I’m so excited to have found a new restaurant to work my way through the menu!
