Food is good but too oily most of the time. Quality is decent nonetheless. Service is below average. Waitresses don't really treat their customers well. Environment is kind of old with damaged bowls and tables. I recommend doing a take out or don't bother tipping because of poor service.

Food is good but pricing is not a casual one. We had a bad encounter with them involving personal discrimination. Our family of 4 saw a table of 6, the circular one, so I respectfully asked if we can sit there since I was pregnant and we do plan to buy many dishes to try. The female server with long hair and glasses said no because it was for bigger party, in a straight tone but I didn't mind. We got seated at the smaller table for 4 for less than 10 mins before that same server came to talk to the party of 4 next to us and offered them the table of 6. Like what? I'm sure we requested first but maybe she already had grudges. I thought maybe more ppl would join that party but no one else joined. I felt so disrespected.
Don’t come here if you want to be treated with respect and courtesy. It’s not a theme in the restaurant.

Good experience for first time. Got take out. The eggplant with pork is spicy which we were warned about and I loved it. The beef with scallion and garlic pepper sauce isn’t scallion but the sauce had a richer flavor flavor than expected which was enjoyable. Overall, very happy and will return.
Just hope it’s consistent.

The Sheng-jian-bao (pan fried port buns) is the best one can get around southern California. Other Shanghai style items are all consistently good. Prices have gone up somewhat over the past year. Parking is always a problem.

Update in July 2025:
On recent visits, it’s not as hard to find a seat as in early years, but parking is much harder, even after the plaza charges for it (restaurants customers have free validation)
Their pan fried buns do not look as good, because they are often leaking, but that’s not affecting the taste.
They no longer serve the whole pork elbow (紅燒蹄膀), but you can still eat the braised pork belly with tofu knots (紅燒肉百頁結) , which is equally good, in a smaller serving.
The seaweed battered fish (苔條脆片魚)are now sticks rather than the traditional chunks.

The one thing that really bothered us was the loud music they played. Because the restaurant has all hard surfaces, there’s nothing to absorb that music or the crowd’s noise. Everyone was trying hard to talk over that noise and we were all packed tightly together, it’s impossible to carry on a conversation.

Went to Tasty Noodle House with my husband.
The inside is clean and is nice inside with table seating.

We ordered curry noodle soup, xiao long bao, and chow mein. The best dish was the curry noodles. The potato, and carrot was cooked so well!! The soup was clear and flavorful.

The chow mein was a bit oily and not many meat/veggie but some may prefer that if you want more noodle. It is under the fried section, so it will be oily due to frying. I prefer more wholesome dishes, and the curry noodles were my favorite !!! Xiao long bao with pork was also so yummy. Not much soup inside but the meat was cooked perfectly and the dumpling wrapper was very good.

Staff was so friendly and attentive. There was one guy with an American flag hat, and was refilling the water very frequently. He was awesome!!!

I will be coming back to order the curry noodle soup again, and I want to order more xiao long bao and other entry’s. There was this one bao dish that looked very good. Other tables were ordering it. Must try and ask for next time

Before heading to San Diego Airport, I took my family to Tasty Noodle House around 4:00 PM for a quick bite.

The food at this location is much better than the ones in Chino Hills and Irvine—flavorful and well-prepared. My kids loved it, making for a great dining experience before our flight. Highly recommend!

Ordered spicy beef chow mein, green onion pancake, and cucumber salad through Door Dash. Order was delivered promptly. The chow mein was a mass of thin oily noodles with very little beef and vegetable and barely spicy. It tasted like burned soy sauce and used cooking oil. Eating half of it made me sick during the night. The green onion pancakes tasted like they were deep fried. Only the cucumber salad was good.

Great food, great service, great prices. Not sure why it isn’t rated higher. Parking can be a bit tough but that’s out of the restaurant’s control

We used to love this store, But the recent two visit shows there's some degradation happening. Only two slices of beef in my 麻辣卤三拼. Noodles are sticking together when serving. The meat in rice cake pork chop tastes sour. Overall food quality has dropped for months. Please step up your game.

I have been to this place twice and always leave wondering why I chose this place to eat it. The first time was just ok, but the second time was the more lackluster of a trip. I went in with my boyfriend around 6PM and got seated right away despite it being a full house. Service was fine and quick, ordered fast while the food came out even faster. I got the shrimp chow mein, apple slush, and egg rolls while my boyfriend got the spicy beef chow mein. The chow mein came out faster than the egg rolls, being around 10 minutes after ordering which I found suspicious. Shouldn't the chow mein take longer to cook? Well, the texture was extremely chewy and the noodles were stuck together like a blob of glue. My boyfriend made a comment that they must make a huge batch of chow mein and just take from the pile to serve to the customers which is probably not too far fetched of an idea. Apple slush was yummy and the egg rolls were subpar. They were served hot, but the inside tasted like slime. I wouldn't pay to get that again. My chow mein lacked flavor and the few shrimp that was on there were small. Overall, I would not come back here for authentic chinese food.
