Thai boba tea although I asked for 50% of suger it was too sweet, & the taste way different that Thai tea, not recommended.
Very decent prices for the area, and the pearls are cooked to the right chewiness.
reminds me of Taiwan, specifically a typical cafe in Gaoxiong, which is the most comparable place to SD in the US. It's spacious, comfortable (cushion for butts without cushion), family-friendly, pet-friendly, games for kids, a piano: it's basically a day-care center. The decoration is very DIY and neat, which is what really gave me Taiwan vibes. Yellow lights (I don't know why other shops use bright white office lights..) They know how to decorate on a budget. Clean bathroom. Clearly a family business. The owners are from Guangdong, but theyre quite different from the city people. Maybe San Diego slowed them down.. If this is the vibe of SD, I'm def lovin' it!
drinks are pricey, $6+ with boba. Boba isn't free. Standard milk tea is solid, but even at 30% sweetness, it's quite sweet. Egg puff for $5 is cute.
only downside is the location is on a random busy street corner, and you might have to look for parking.
Small business with quality boba/teas, looking forward to going back! If deciding between 30% sweetness and 50% sweetness for the traditional milk tea, I personally recommend 30.
My go to place for amazing drinks ❤️

One of the best, consistently good boba places I’ve been to. Not too sweet. Boba is just the right texture to me, and I love their grass jelly. I always get the Thai tea or a fruit tea. Good açaí bowl too. Welcoming place to hang out with couches and tables. It is across the street from high school and next to stronghold, so it can get busy with kids after school, but service is still fast.
