Found this sandwich spot on Google and originally went in for the turkey bacon, but ended up trying the BBQ chicken instead “The Rob”—absolutely amazing. Loved the music, the vibe, and most importantly, the food. Definitely coming back!

Arrived around 1:40pm, waited for 5+ minutes alone until Mack finally came out of the kitchen and greeted me at the register. I ordered the Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich on Sourdough, He proceeded to yell my order through the window to the kitchen as I spoke it to him and then said “Last order, TOGO!”, almost as if he wanted me to know they were closing right then. Once he rang my order in, he left the register and went to tidy up to close, I stood there for another few minutes waiting for him because the register froze. He sighed and proceed to tell me about all of the hand written orders he has taken today because of the register being down and how many people he had lined up out the door, as if I cared. I showed very clears signs that I didn’t. Also, they have a sign that reads “No Gluten Free Bread Unavailable” so I asked Mack if they have gluten free bread, and his response was “read the sign”. Anyways I was disappointed in the food as well, given the hype, because my sandwich looked and tasted of something I made myself in elementary to take for lunch.

The turkey avocado sandwich was a little too buttery for my taste, but it filled me up. It comes with a bag of tasty chips, which is nice. The tables are a bit too “crammed”. I’d take away a couple of them, to give more room to move. Also, a smiley girl at the counter would bring in more customers, in my opinion.
Food is extremely fresh and delicious!! Best food we have had in San Diego. It us only open for lunch. Mack runs the place and he is very pleasant and will help you make a good decision on what to get. Highly recommend!!

Quick spot for surprisingly good lunch time eats. Come by and get a sandwhich. Don't let the small menu fool you, they make great food that shouldn't be missed. I do recommend you call ahead and pickup.

Honestly, the food was... okay. We tried the Turkey Bacon Avo Sandwich and the Philly Cheesesteak. Both were not as good as we would expect from a restaurant, especially given the rave reviews from this place. Each sandwich reminded me of something I would throw together at home. But the owner is really nice.

Highly recommend this lunch spot. Amazing fresh food and friendly service.
Sandwiches and the tomato soup are fantastic but the real pleasure is meeting Mack. You won’t be disappointed by the hidden gem!
