I'm really disappointed because I ordered a Cesar wrap to go, waited for 15 minutes just to find out they hadn't even made it. When I asked them to check, I had to wait another 15 minutes for them to MAKE it, and even then they made it for here and acted VERY annoyed when I asked them to fix it. Not only that, but they also ran out of ketchup and acted annoyed when I asked them for some at the counter! I was very polite and patient yet was met with rude customer service from one of the workers. Very disappointed. I expected more for an $18 Cesar wrap.

Honestly this particular location is SUCH a letdown. The staff was so rude and doesn't know how to communicate with patrons. The Wi-Fi passphrase is 'pancakes' so its known I did more than just stop by. I really don't recommend

The food is good! Same with the service but there SO MANY flies in this restaurant it is insane. It it impossible to eat inside of the establishment because there is not a second where I wasn’t batting flies away. No idea why they keep all the doors open.

I used to go to Rudford’s for my breakfast meals. Now I’m coming to this place! They have a classic American breakfast that’s delicious and reasonably priced. They cooked my hash browns to perfection. The service was excellent and I got my food quickly. If you’re ever near San Diego State, you gotta try this place. I will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful experience at The Broken Yolk San Diego State University Location College Ave- our Cashier Jaiden was kind & helpful with our needs of menu browsing & Kevin stepped it up for the coffee we needed! We were blessed with a chance meeting Billy from Philly -who happens to be one of the owners. He was checking up on how our food & service was- and we ended up enjoying a conversation with him! He’s a kick & you can tell he cares about his customers & his business!
We ordered breakfast & Our food was yummy!
I also ordered the blueberry banana smoothie- it was fresh - yummy & not loaded with sugar! Only a 140 calories 👍 I recommend Enjoying healthy food choices for Breakfast & Lunch till 2 pm in summer& till 8 pm come Aug when school is back in session! They also have beers for pre SDSU game experience!! That’s on my list later in the year!

Ya'll always mess up on our door dash orders. Today I ordered a chilaquiles bowl, red sauce with carne asada. When it came, no onions, no cilantro, NO CARNE. What the hell am I paying extra for? Total came up to $50+ since we got 2 entrees. When I'm paying that much for food and delivery, I expect everything to be included and not have to go do the extra steps to get my stuff refunded. It's a waste of both our times. I hate being confrontational, and I typically let these things go, but the way my bowl was put together was just lazy and forgetful. I pay for the convenience, guess I shoulda just gone in person at Mission Valley. Attaching my receipt and what I received while awaiting our refund.

Soooo disappointed in this location. Had no idea upon arrival that this was an express location and counter service only, it should state that on its name similar to how Oggies across the bridge does. I'm near sighted and only brought my prescription polarized sunglasses with me and if anyone knows you cant read digital screens with them on. I asked the woman at the counter if there was a printed menu and she said no. Ok fine, I'll squint. So while trying to read the menu, there was a ladder in the way of the digital menu, I asked if the lady at the counter could move it over so I could read the menu, she stated no, it's being fixed. No one stepped on the ladder the entire 45m I was in the location. Next when I ordered alcohol, she wrist banded me, um ok, I'm 40 and very much look so, but I understand we are near a college campus. Just interesting because Epic Wings, Eureka and Oggies doesn't wrist band you and two of those locations are closer to the actual SDSU campus. Next when I went to pay, I was looking at the terminal because it was different than the usual ones you see out and about, she then reaches her hand over to press the 30% tip button and I quickly slapped her hand away!! Why on earth would I tip someone for counter service and with a bad attitude. I don't tip at McDonald's, I don't tip at this Broken Yolk fastfood location. Food was mediocre at very best, at very best. Food is served on plates and you must go collect it at the counter when they scream your number that they give you a number tent for (leading me to believe someone was to bring your food to your table, NOT THE CASE, just put a # on the receipt like everyone else) When you get your food at the counter you must then collect your own plastic cutlery and napkins, as well as any condiment you may need (syrup, ketchup, hot sauce) If I'm dining in on a washable plate, why am I eating with plastic cutlery. So horrible for the environment!!! Then when we were done, we are instructed to buss our own tables. Soo let me get this straight, the lady at the counter wanted me to tip her 30% for me, serving myself and then cleaning up after myself. Um no, there's no reason for me to tip especially if that tip is not going to the men that were cooking the food. All in all, let's just say this location is a waste of space and energy. Horrible for the environment and horrible to their customers. Go down the hill to Mission Valley if you actually want Broken Yolk, this place is a joke! Oh let me add, parking is validated but for only 30m. It takes them about 15m just to get you your food, so eat quickly and don't you dare talk while doing so otherwise you're paying an arm and a leg for parking. Any researcher who's studied dining would know any sit down restaurant requires at least 45m per party, AT LEAST! Avoid!

Food was okay. Kept messing up my order. I ordered to-go, and they consistently made it dine-in. And didn’t even compensate. Just put in whatever was in the dine-in plate and messily plopped it in the to-go box. I felt a disregard for my time and money. Also sometimes, they take a long time for no reason. I wouldn’t bother going here if not in the meal plan. Their pancakes are good though.
