Every time I come in here it’s a different adventure. first off, the staff is always just talking amongst themselves and when you come up to the counter, they make it seem like you’re interrupting their hang out time. Menu is never consistent, they shut down their breakfast at whatever time they like (still morning) they sometimes are able to offer a single shot of espresso and sometimes they tell me “sorry we only have double shots” They consistently mess up orders.

Trust me, I wish I didn’t have to come here, but it’s the only coffee shop near my apartment. I like their food and their coffee, I just wish the experience of going in there was better. Just do better, that’s all I am asking. Be consistent.

Stopped here with the family to get a quick breakfast and enjoyed their granola yogurt bowl, bagel, and pastries, along with coffee and hot chocolate. It's a small place with a cozy vibe and we enjoyed it.

Couldn’t order food despite there being a full menu? Latte was about 99% milk (maybe just serve in a smaller cup so the ratio is better). Bummed and probably won’t come back.

The staff was very friendly. The banana nut muffin was quite dry, and although I requested less milk in the salted honey iced latte, it still turned out rather milky for me— still enjoyable. The atmosphere is perfect for working or studying.

The place was dead empty in the middle of the day on Saturday, and it's no wonder why. Barista seemed annoyed that we walked in and could not wait for us to leave. They were out of at least one ingredient for every drink we tried to order. Cannot rate the food because apparently they don't serve any (despite having a whole menu that lists food items). We were hoping for a cute brunch but ended up leaving empty handed.

More details for owner: this was 9/14/24 around 1:30/2pm. We were not able to order the chai tea or the royal tea because an ingredient was out for each. We then tried ordering food (2 eggs plate and avocado toast) and were told no food was being served.

The food and coffee here are excellent. They have some unique coffee drinks, like the Salted Honey, that are delicious and I haven't found anywhere else. The vibe is nice and low-key with mostly local traffic, so it's more chill than some of the more commercial spots on Garnet. The food is good and they provide good portions. Everything tastes really fresh! And I've always received excellent service here. Recently, Nargiz went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of after I made a mistake in my order. That made me a true believer. I'll be back here often. Come through.

Very small shop but it has a decent amount of seating. Açaí bowl is delicious! Rose coffee is refreshing and aromatic.

If you are visiting out of town and looking for good coffee it is not here. I am rarely drawn to post bad reviews but if your business name is coffee related you should know your stuff, and this was worse than the conference coffee that drove me to seek out this place in to begin with. The moment I saw no crema I knew it was going to be bad, but the taste was worse than I imagined and was essentially cardboard water. Avoid if you are looking for your coffee fix.

I absolutely love the chickpea sandwich at this place - it is one of my favorite sandwiches in San Diego. However, the staff are often unpleasant. For example, today, I was given a dirty fork. When I asked for a new one, the girl at the counter stared at me for an uncomfortable amount of time after asking for a new one until I explained it was dirty. I feel like I was bothering her. The iffy service has been a reoccurring theme over the past few years.I’ll return because I think the sandwiches and avocado toast are really good.

I really wanted to like this place since it’s close to my apartment, but have come to the conclusion that it’s terrible. I’ve been to this coffee shop probably 15-20 times before and have noticed the service is slow and the staff is consistently rude. I’ve had experiences where I get eye rolls and rude comments while I’m ordering, and other experiences where baristas will ignore questions that they can clearly hear, will snap at me for asking which drink is which (told me to read the cup and rolled her eyes), or will just glare at you. My day is always worse when I leave that place and I leave in a bad mood. Also the coffee tastes burnt and watery and they’re out of oat milk 50% of the time. You would think if they’re always out of something they’d get better at inventory management.

Bad service, coffee tastes like warm milk. It was a wast of time and money. Not a good way to start the day. I hope the owner fine better baristas since the place actually look nice.
