Welcome to Rancho San Diego. It has been a long time coming since the Living Room was inspired to open up in the area, and now they are finally open. Congratulations! My first impressions were that it's a nice-looking place and boy, do they offer some good-looking baked goods and cakes. They are the first thing you see when you walk in, not that there's anything wrong with that. Regardless of what I ordered for breakfast, I was determined to try one of the pastries. That being said, once I was seated, I ordered the Pesto Avocado Multigrain Toast with a side of fruit and a cortado with whole milk. At the counter, however, I ordered the Nutella swirl pastry. The toast was $12.The avocado toast was good. The toast came with a decent amount of freshly smashed avocado, but I little more would have been just grand. The pesto dressing was mild and tasty, and the arugula, cherry tomatoes, and feta cheese were fresh. The multi-grain toast was very good, too.The nutella swirl was very good. The pastry was doughy and flaky with just the right amount of nutella and nuts. It was very successful. The cortado I was okay. The cortado was good.Service was good, but it did take over 20 minutes for a water that I requested during my initial order to come out. The hostess noticed the error, and she quickly got me a glass of water. Thank you!

Overall, it’s a great experience. The service was amazing! The food was okay! But I think the appeal of this place is meant more so aimed at students or people who need a place to work on a paper, project, computer, and etc.I didn’t order their salads, but I’ve seen the salads they served. They’re big portions and actually looked really good.I was here with a group of friends to catch up and hang out. I got their soup special of the day, broccoli cheddar soup, a white hot chocolate, chocolate scone, and a tiramisu.Broccoli cheddar soup was alright. If I didn’t have a late lunch, I would’ve gotten a panini or sandwich to go with the soup.White hot chocolate was a regret. I think they used more of a syrup. So I think I should’ve gotten a plain hot chocolate instead.Tiramisu was def not for me. You could taste the alcohol, like it wasn’t cooked off. It was very very strong. If that’s your thing, you may like it. One of my friends in the group enjoyed it a lot. Majority of us didn’t like it.Haven’t tried the scone yet. But I’ll probably air fry it or microwave it and have some with warm milk or something later.Parking here esp at night sometimes is non existent. Parking gets sooo hard to find and sometimes finding a spot inside or outside is also really tough. We got lucky to all find parking, but had to park a couple of blocks away in the neighborhood, which is really dark. Not enough street lights. I wouldn’t walk here alone for sure.Parking: Parking spots behind this place and street parking fill up very fast. Esp at night when there are a lot of students studying or doing a project together.

Smoothies are good & affordable, my veggie skillet was great. Lots of seating in & outdoors on the spacious patio. Even a few couches inside. Can be a bit jammed if there's a line but considering there's a fairly large menu the food/drinks come in a reasonable amount of time. Breakfast boozy drinks among your favorite coffee shop libations.Vegetarian options: Veg optionsParking: Lot fills up fast, street parking can be hit or missWheelchair accessibility: A few steps to the front door. Not sure if there's a ramp in back but the patio is huge and accessible

Their coffee is good, but the food.... served cold and greasy. Just go for the coffee.

The Black Forest Mocha was delicious. I stood in front of the counter for five minutes before someone came to take my order. The interiors are dated but perhaps that's the look they are going for. It's hard to find a seat since so many people come in alone to study and sit for hours at a table meant for four.

My favorite mexican mocha. Getting parking is hard since its in a little neighborhood and their lot is always full, but usually only a minute or 2 walk away is the furthest you have to

I really like all of the tables that truly make the place feel like a living room! The only problem is that it's so comfortable, there are so many people, and there just is not available seating all the time. It's a really interesting business model to have people come and sit down and hang out as long as they want. Almost seems like you'd want them to leave to allow space for more customers. But it was nice.

Never disappoints, good for quick good food and coffee with a cozy atmosphere. Super friendly staff and awesome pastries! One thing I never enjoy here is using the restroom facilities, it doesn’t match the cute vibe of the place, it’s a bit of a gas station bathroom vibe, just a tip for management, not enough of a bother not to love this spot!

The service was fine when I ordered. The coffee was terrible. The food I ordered was old. When I went to return it, the person behind the counter made the transaction long and challenging even though I think they knew full well the food they had sold me was old and stale. The atmosphere is truly the only thing about any Living Room coffeehouse that is pleasant. If you're looking for good coffee, go somewhere else.

Cute place with good coffee and food. I like the couches and plush chairs. It is a comfy place to work or meet with others.Parking: There is a parking lot behind the building with 8-10 spots.
