I got an iced chai and a breakfast burrito. Pretty good and reasonably priced. Staff is nice.
First time at this hidden gem! Loved the mixed menu, food was great, out hot and fast, and at that price... can not be beat! Stop by if you are in the area, very worth it. I got the tacos, a side of fries, and a Vietnamese coffee. It was tasty AND filling. I took home my leftovers. Additionally, they had tasty bakery items. The cookies were so soft!
Ample parking when we arrived and more than enough indoor seating. GREAT customer service. :)

I worked with The Neighborhood Cafe, specifically Joe and Chef Eddie, to cater my wedding, and they did an incredible job from start to finish. They created a custom, gluten free menu based on all of our favorite foods and were thoughtful about helping us stay within budget without compromising quality or flavor.
The serving sizes were generous. We had plenty of food left over, and guests were able to go back for seconds and thirds. What really stood out was how thorough they were in the planning process. Joe and Chef Eddie visited the venue ahead of time to anticipate any delivery or setup challenges, and they helped me figure out exactly how many chafing dishes, hot boxes, and other pieces of equipment we would need to keep everything running smoothly.
I couldn’t be happier with the experience. If you’re looking for reliable, professional, and genuinely thoughtful catering, I highly recommend The Neighborhood Cafe.
This hidden gem has become my go-to morning spot. Their pour-over coffee is meticulously prepared, and the baristas remember regular customers’ orders. The atmosphere is cozy with plenty of natural light and comfortable seating for working remotely.
I joined someone for lunch. Unfortunately, I was unable to partake due to an onion allergy.... But my brother, thoroughly enjoyed the food.... I did eat some french fries. They were shoestring french fries cooked very, well. I enjoyed them. And I love fries. People mess up fries all the time. Establishment was clean and staff was very, very nice.
Great matcha! Thanks for letting me hang out.
The samosas were delicious and the matcha latte was super tasty. The team are super friendly, helpful and passionate about their work. I highly recommend the Neighborhood Cafe!
This place is for sure the best. It’s better than Starbucks—the wait time is a little longer, but it’s for sure better than Starbucks!

Very good prices throughout the menu. I sat in the Cafe and was brought my order pretty quickly.
I changed out the croissant bread on my sandwich for squaw bread and I was disappointed that it wasn't toasted but all the other ingredients were good so I still liked it. It had lots of turkey, and the cranberry mayo on the sandwich was a nice touch. I also got Thai tea and it had a nice bold flavor the way I love it.
My receipt had wifi login information for easy access and I was able to stay and do some work on my phone after I finished my meal. The atmosphere was very slow and all the employees I spoke to were very kind.
Parking: The parking lot is a little small and therefore a bit tight to drive around but during the time I went, there was plenty of open spaces so it wasn't a problem.

Based on the small number of reviews for this place and our wonderful experience, it's clear this restaurant is an undiscovered gem. Tucked away in a working-class neighborhood strip center whose tenants cater to the community's social service needs, the Neighborhood Cafe offers absolutely delicious sandwiches, more substantial meals, smoothies and desserts. I had a turkey sandwich, which is served on a croissant, with sliced cheese and if you want, added veggies. It was satisfyingly yummy. Hubby and I shared a mango smoothie, which was, hands down, the best smoothie I've ever enjoyed. He agreed. He ordered the chicken adobo, which was also excellent
I highly recommend this eatery!

Try out this place the neighborhood cafe. It's bomb and cheaper than most place. A huge plate of food is about 7-8 buck and I got a vietnamese coffee with boba for 4 buck. This place is awesome and nice workers who brought food to me which I don't see ever. It's a collab with UPAC that's why they're awesome. Enjoy! You won't regret. Sorry no pic of the vietnamese ice coffee, I drank it all in like 5 minutes. Lol 20 buck for two days worth of food. Heck yes!

Menu is on their website. Catering menu will impress. This place actively supports the City Heights Community and mentors the youth. Don't sleep on this spot.
