Staying at the Pendry so went to check out the pool. Came here on a Wednesday at noon, not very busy. But I heard on Sunday afternoons, this place is an absolute party. Anyways found my pool chair. I tried to ordered an Estrella Jalisco on draft but they didn't have it. I ended up going with a Shock Top. Nice and refreshing by the pool. The server was nice and overall solid experience.

I just visited the rooftop pool today and it was an amazing experience. We ordered the Mediterranean Appetizer Plate and the Lobster Roll w/fries…everything was delicious! The ambience is very chic and trendy. The drinks were also very good. I think the best element of it all was the service. The staff is very professional, courteous, and catering. This place does an amazing job of hiring the right people…special shoutout to Kaden who provided great service and we also had an amazing lady with short black hair as our waitress but I didn’t get her name. I will definitely be back!

I really liked the ambiance of the rooftop pool! It was relaxing to come during the week when it was not crowded. I liked the music in the background. I ordered a quesadilla and was highly disappointed that the cheese was not melted. It sucks especially since it was $30 total (I added shrimp for $12). So, I did not think the food was good. I like the drinks. Service was decent, started well then tapered off though I would have ordered another cocktail if they came by.

Went to pool house today for a Sunday funday per usual as we are regulars, we go frequently; and as a bartender myself I am disappointed even having to write this as I am in the industry myself, we went for girlfriends birthday, and decided to start at the bar before we got our cabana/table, bartender with colored green/blue eyes, dark hair, and arm tattoo was incredibly rude! I actually couldn’t believe it, before we even ordered “cash or card” abruptly asked prior to ordering. I then asked for Tito’s , without finishing she interrupted and mentioned the didn’t have Tito’s “we have sky” with such an ugly and disgusted look on her face, I then asked for grey goose. She ignored and continued to pour it. She had poor communication and horrible customer service. She was in such a rush to get us out of her way she ran our card so quickly it didn’t read correctly and went out of her way to shout our card declined to try and degrade and embarrass us. We quickly saw the charge and if she took a moment to look at the printer she would have seen it printed and ran the card accordingly. I understand working in a fast pace environment but she seemed absolutely miserable and unhappy. You know what you signed up for taking this job so therefore you should be able to keep up with customer service and friendliness. Her attitude was so ugly we continued ordering drinks from Mariana instead who was great! :) we decided not to tip her and wrote a note on her customer service to maybe help with her future customers to correct her attitude but she probably threw it away! Never going to her again she truly seemed like she was in hell.

This review is based solely on the $40 fee to sit poolside. Yes, the 40.00 goes towards food and/or drinks you may purchase, but if you don't plan on eating, then you're paying $40 to sit by and swim in the pool. I left and went to Float @ Hard Rock, where there's no charge for the pool.

Where to even begin… we always stay at the pendry and always hung out at the pool house! I decided to have my bfs birthday weekend in San Diego. So I went ahead and booked a cabana. Mike helped set up everything and did amazing . Zack had took care of us since walking in along with our server/hostess Jennie. Both were very attentive and overall great customer service. Jennie even helped me pick out what to say on the marquee sign for one of the rounds of bottles we had brought out. The dj, the vibes, a packed pool house with all our friends, it was a weekend we won’t forget. The food was delicious and the mixed drinks we ordered on top of the bottles and mixers was great. I recommend getting a pitcher! Safe to say we will definitely be back! 10/10 for everything.

this really is a hidden gem in the heart of the Gaslamp. If you didn't know it was there you would walk right by, in fact the first time we went we walked right past it. But, it is so worth it when you get up top the pool deck, the bar space is lovely and the ambience is fantastic. The menu is great and the drinks specials are awesome. Above the hustle and bustle of the busy street below, you would never know that just one floor down was 5th St. I recommend this spot for a great chill space to enjoy with frineds.
